Try to prevent a messy background....try have a different angle of shooting on the flower.....the brightness i don't know how to adjust....

Hehe no ND and CPL filters! Normally use CPL during bright sunny day like this picture

spam some korea BBQ shots, meat all g-yoke so non-halal... so-so quality but it's a groupon deal so portion big big, 2 plates full of meats (and huge loads of veggie).

bad lighting and the actual scene is worse than the photo.

actual lighting was bluish fluorescence and a little dim, so i cheated on white balance a bit . shot with V1 and the basic 10-30mm kit lens.

I just got my 50mm f1.8D today. Are the portrait lens (prime lens) doesn't have VR function? vibration would cause so much blur on the prime lens

how much u bought ur 50mm f1.8 D? D is the one need to do manual focus right?

RM250 for secondhand (looks new but have a small dented flaws on the plastic area around the mount).
yeah, but my D90 body have AF motor to do autofocus...

bump the shutter speed? try S mode, set shutter to 1/80...

Get an external flash and shoot at 250th of a second ":D your worries are gone
