anyway...got another affordable classic looker...an orient star.
got the usual sapphire, solid links, see-thru caseback with nothing much to look at.
once im not lazy to setup my lights, then i'll take some better photos.
probably put it on a dark brown strap later to make it just abit diff from my other blue dials.

So you're saying mucho $$$$$ service costs?

Around RM 3.5K for Tag Heuer including module swap. For Tudor, maybe more than that. Peanuts for those driving a Porsche 906 or 910. laugh.gif

Gave up on the Skyfall AT?

Nevertheless that Orient seems to be a great value and sensible buy. Have not molested one before but the clasp looks pretty good as well.

I think RSC should be able to service it instead of changing the whole movement.

within in 1980s is just old watch.. LOL

Interesting but what if you're already 80 years old and wouldn't a watch "before" you be classified as an antique instead? rclxub.gif

Would a pre-1985 Heuer be considered a vintage?

i would rather > 30yrs to be vintage.
that seems to apply to others too like guitars...except for things like cars tongue.gif

not gave up.
AFAIK, its still currently only available at the omega boutiques only.
couple months ago when i asked an AD, they said stocks only expected to come around jan 2013.
so i'm still waiting since we also know AD's can give better discount.

I'll go with one of the Seiko SARB... google for it. Cost less than half of your budget, classical looking without being too sissy, good sturdy movement....

Google it.
