Dw5600ms1, if I'm wearing anything sport-ish it'll be on my wrist...successor of a timex ironman sports watch but most likely would be switching back to timex soon...

Guys, can recommend me a rm10 to rm200 watch for sports?

1.Digital
2.With Timer
3.Backlight
4.Flat & Light weight
5.Rubber strap & not easy to trap dirt/sweat
6.Water resistance
7.Easy to wash
8.Simple color & design

Also would it be cheaper to buy at retail during sales or here from garage seller?
*
timex ironman series..the lower end models can be found for under RM200 and are great for any sports...it's cheaper buying online i.e ebay though not much as they're already pretty cheap watches..but you will have a lot more choices....

needing some help here...

am currently using a 22mm leather strap on my oris classic xxl but in actual fact it's a 23mm lug to lug size...thinking of replacing it with a metal bracelet...currently looking at watchadoo but they don't come in 23mm...some suggest to buy the 24mm and file it to 23mm which would solve the problem...now I'm a little worried the end link would be a little too short to clear the lug length (not width) due to the lug design...hope to get some 2nd opinion...

thanks!

just go ask oris distro here if they can order the bracelet that comes with that watch.
ill fitting 3rd party bracelets just make the watch look fugly, especially if they dont follow the curved ends...so better to just pay abit extra.
*
True though...just that last checked online oris metal bracelet now cost about 130-150usd...would rather put the oem rubber back to the oris and get a mako with bracelet instead lol...

If you want something timeless with some provenance and something relevant 10 years down the road..
- used vintage rolex datejust stainless with new good leather strap
- used omega speedmaster professional ref:3570 or 3573
- used rolex explorer 1
- used Grand Seiko

- new Longines Legend Diver non date if you can find one.
- i think the cal. 2500 Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra still available.

Just my 2 cents

something that I've been wondering, not sure how most guys pull off with a 40-42mm watch...I'm only 162cm and 65kg (yeah a little plum). don't seems to have many choice for something bigger within that similar budget/brands right? most of my mates comment that I look weird with a 40mm...

kinda digging the breitling superocean 44...could be a good option too right?

I'm 170, 60kg. very skinny. My wrist only 6" just wanna wear what I like, try not to think what other comments haha.

Not a fan of overly large watches or Breitling for that matter.

Different strokes for different folks i guess.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Feb 26 2013, 04:58 PM)
40-42 is ok la, depends on ur wrist.
44mm i find is big la...and i got 7.25" wrists.
brietling i only like the superocean heritage 42, tho for some reason the site doesnt show all the colors that were available at launch...maybe slowly being discontinued...but the 42 had a nice blue one.
now only the 46 got blue...and thats stupidly big.
*
I'm happy with a 44mm and have always been on a 44mm on my 6.5' wrist...could be the reason why people think I look weird whenever I switch to my other 39mm...I do personally feel 40mm is still a little too small that's why I can't figure out why you guys could look nice with a 40mm but not me lol...jealous...otherwise would have more choices for an "all occasion classic piece"...anything bigger than 44mm would be pretty ridiculous...would be great to be able to wear a sub, at least I can dream of having one..now dream also cannot...

this is me on my 39mm..seems to look alright in this pic though..*scratch head*

was testing a mako on bracelet last week and my wife immediately says "too small"...gggrrrr

Hi guys,

I don't see much mentioned or fans of Citizen.
Is there a particular reason? Anyone has experience with this brand?
Was looking at their Eco-Drive watches and the look pretty good. Some are titanium as well.
And they have 3yrs warranty.
*
I notice also not many talk about citizen...remember a regular here mentioned about his own experience with citizen (couple of version back maybe). About not getting warranty or something...with just that one remark I chosed to stay away from citizen haha..i'm bias though..just personal thoughts...

Has not agree on the final price yet, the watch is actually from a close friend of mine.
You may email Magrette on the availability, they might have some recon one for sale.
Was quoted $400 few months back.
*
400 seems decent...the most 2 recent for sale thread in WUS the sellers were asking for 500/550!

just dropped an email to magrette..fingers crossed... whistling.gif

following with the topic of magrette there's a moana pacific diver for sale in mudah...a little steep seeing that it was priced at USD515 with shipping when launch...would have been more attractive if priced below RM1.2k...

Saw that yesterday. It doesn't look as good in person than on the photo. In fact, I find most Seiko are like that (or most watches are like that?).

just a thought...which tissot have you seen? if below 1k seiko doesn't appeal to you I'm not sure if the cheapest tissot would fair any better..in terms of "feeling/looking good" - to me at least blush.gif
