QUOTE(G-17 @ Oct 30 2012, 10:31 AM) LG have a decent presence here in Singapore where I live. Maybe you can order one from SG instead. Might even save you a few bucks compared to importing from US/AU/TW/etc. S LCD is not IPS. Do you know their differences?IPS is better than the fake oversaturated colour you get from Amoled, imho. Only advantage Amoled has is the deep black. IPS tends to have wider gamut, and newer IPS screens tend to draw less power than even the latest Samoled variants. Plus, I've yet to see any Amoled display come close to the color rendition of the S-LCD2 IPS on the HTC One X. Then again, it's all to do on the quality of IPS display. For the price they're selling teh Nexus 4 at, I doubt they'll be using a top-of-the-line Sharp IGZO panel. If it's close to the HTC One X, I'll be happy. |

Nexus 7 was never a high end product but this is one! Just look at Nexus 7 display and you'll know it. It's not a piece of high end display. It's its chipset and that it's Nexus device that make its sales rolling. its not a perfect 7 inch tablet, but specs to price ration, its one of the best in the market. |

If not, how am I gonna charge my phone when I'm using it in US? Need to buy a new charger? It just the pin arrangement that is different. |

Why is everyone getting so worked up over speculation? Just wait and see what LG Malaysia's plan is. If they priced it too high, then as a consumer we have other methods of getting the Nexus 4. Relax everyone let's not turn this thread into the iPhone 5 thread haha

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Nov 4 2012, 08:33 PM) SLCD and IPS are basically the same tech. Only difference is trademark which prevents both from sharing the same name. All IPS panels are basically a type of LCD. The S in SLCD just means that touch sensors are integrated into the panel. Here's a quote from AnandTech about the Nexus 4: QUOTE For those who aren't familiar with it, the Nexus 4 features Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC - a quad-core 28nm Krait CPU with Qualcomm's next-generation Adreno 320 GPU. The combination proved quite formidable in the MDP/T we tested, as well as LG's recently announced Optimus G. The SoC drives a 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 IPS display and is paired with 2GB of LPDDR2 memory. http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/03/editori...mobile-pricing/
this article got some points there..... when google itself is marketing the thing it can be dirt cheap. Just like how most gaming console are selling their console below their manufacturing price.... they just want to lure ppl into their market. If google really targeting Malaysia now they wont let Asus handle the local Nexus 7 market at the start (hence the RM999 price and initial). Google gonna sell you their google music, google play bla bla bla subsription things and when u are completely suck into their eco system... u cannot change. Just like ppl that buy Apple apps and Itunes music... u try forcing them change to another OS means they need to invest in the same app and music again just to get back the same amount things u get on the IOS. So finally Google has move up to this step. Later i wont see any reason ppl want to buy other 3rd party Manufacture tablet instead of Nexus brand. |

QUOTE(kpsia518 @ Nov 4 2012, 08:29 PM) Galaxy Nexus not google nexus,i didn't care about Galaxy Nexus. cheaper google nexus will win all the other....all ppl will buy. high price you buy,i won't buy. LG Nexus 4 not Google Nexus? Asus Nexus 7 not Google Nexus? Samsung Nexus 10 not Google Nexus? Then only phone MANUFACTURED by Google is Google Nexus? I believe not everyone will buy because it'll end up lack of advertisement like Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and Nexus 7. That's the end of conversation. Continuing this leads nowhere QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Nov 4 2012, 08:33 PM) If you look at gsmarena One X spec page, it says Super IPS LCD http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_x-4320.php QUOTE(green_algae @ Nov 4 2012, 08:35 PM) i wonder how ppl are going to charge thier nexus 4(usa use different voltage and pin connector) Most adaptor adapts to 110V~240V.
