newbie here, is the old nexus phone specs can support the latest update?
*
all nexus except for nexus one has offical jellybean. htc nexus one has "other" ways of upgrading its os, via custom roms.

not sure about that but lg optimus g(13 mp) is on par with other (8mp) devices,in terms of imaging.

both concerns is for the LTE and the back glass. lol, back glass is not a new thing for user to concern since apple has adopt it earlier with iphone 4, i dont know why it has to be an issue now. for LTE i guess its a bummer for the US user, but for us, most of us dont really care bout it. As long as can facebook and instagram is all that matter. Cloud usage is still far beyond our reach in my opinion. Maybe next year by that time im sure there will be nexus 5 already. So yeah, im also waiting for gsmarena battery test and call quality. Hoping it to be good. smile.gif
*
what kind of casing is prefered when using a 'backed glass' phone?in terms of protection ,of course.

In the middle of reading "Verge" review, something caught my eye.
It seem that the glass behind the phone is quite fragile, easily crack or perhaps scratch?
*
i just watched the video,there's a hairline crack,seems quite fragile.maybe nexus 4 needs a 3mm thick tpu case for protection tongue.gif

Possible reasons would be it's not the final build firmware or the benchmarks don't fully support Android 4.2 yet.
*
maybe the benchmark apps arent optimized for 4.2 devices yet whistling.gif

having said that, no telcos has yet to announce its availability...i don't know whether my SE can last or not T_T
*
maybe it wont be announced as it could be a threat to the other galaxy phones(note2 and s3) rolleyes.gif

No need to book la, just walk into any LG shop and buy je. LG don't have the market like Samsung or Apple, so I guess you can buy straight from Telcos too?
*
so far,in my life time,i havent seen a lg retail shop before, maybe its combined with its electrical appliance shop? doh.gif

Or maybe it's due to the prerelease firmware? The Verge's review stated that the lockscreen is still the same as 4.1.1
*
the one ,'the verge' tested is running 4.2. the proof is ( the two fingered and one fingered notification bar)

Added on November 3, 2012, 10:29 pmhah, the verge's battery test is different from engadget's one.maybe the verge is an iphone fan. doh.gif

Iam not sure what you mean by that, the wireless charger is sold separately. From all unboxing videos i have seen, the retail unit comes with usb charger and sim remover tool only....no earphones or any extras like that
*
its a review set, reviewer's get them directly from google before the actual device is launched.

no practical usage? I think it's the most practical way to charge. I hate having to fumble with usb cables. I will most likely permanently leave the dock on my desk and whenever I get to my desk its as simple as putting it down. I personally would love this feature.
*
you have to plug in the standard usb cable with an adapter,it isnt gonna run on air you know. sweat.gif

the verge complains about the back cover, and praises the nexus 4 for its curveture.thier battery usage test is different from engadget's.i wonder why hmm.gif

Why is it in different league? There is one seller in LYN offering bulk purchase in Garage. Anyone buying? BTW, is it true that the phone is made entirely in glass?
*
better screen size,s pen and many more.the back and the front of the phone is covered with gorrila glass 2(doesnt scratch easily but can and will crack upon hiting a hard surface),but can buy some casing to protect the back.

The price for nexus 4 maybe is the price on your left

See <-- <-- <-- You see it? tongue.gif

True... Front and back are gorilla glass. Not 'entirely' but most of the area is glass nod.gif
*
rm 1399 seems like a good offer for a quad core phone.

I remember in the nexus 4 intro video, they do mention that they design the edge slightly curve out so that when falling, it will hit the edge first before hitting the glass. IMHO, unless fall on very uneven surface then it will not break easily.
*
better to be safe than sorry(get a tpu case for added protection).

If it's 1399 and come with above mediocre performance and review. Guess I'm glad to be the owner of Nexus 4 family. Is LG reliable?
*
in terms of updates,no worries coz its a google product.the service centre's is quite limited coz lg isnt a popular phone brand in malaysia.

I am not worry about the OS performance but rather the spec performance. Like Sony Acro S, although it's similar with s2 specs, but the performance isnt that great. My own usage review.
*
specs should be one of the highest(benchmarks),but the current specs are lower than expected(maybe the os hasnt been optimized yet).

maybe because sony isnt that great in making the OS,
be rest assure with google phone it will always be smooth,
smoothness is not just about hardware, it about software mostly, even the lowest spec can be smooth if the OS is great (see iphone, low spec, but first few months is smooth, LOL)
*
sony did good on thier xperia j(in terms of smoothness),even though its specs are so 2010.maybe because of jelly bean? hmm.gif

It seems LG has been jacking up the price for NEXUS 4 in countries like Italy and Spain. Hopefully we wont see the same case here.

http://thenextweb.com/google/2012/11/03/sp...s-retail-price/
*
wtf, 2.4 k,thats 1k+ more than google's recommended price.if its happening in spain,it will surely happen in malaysia.
