Hi there Nexus Lovers,
I'm planning to move from iOS to Nexus, because of the cheaper price. Would it be a good idea?
I'll mostly use it for going online, checking my gmail, store and read my important documents/notes, creating new documents. I'm a university student btw.
The only downside i feel is that it's inability to be hooked up to an external display for presentation purposes and how is the play store when it comes to apps for medical professionals/students?
So help me out here and tell me what amazing stuff that the Nexus can do that the iOS cant (that is inline with my uni life).

Note 10.1 will be a better bet. If you are not in a hurry, there is rumour Samsung is getting out a 7" Note series. It will be a perfect match for a student, if you think 10" tablet is too big for you.
My sister who teaches in an international school for the art subject just get a Note 10.1 (as recommended by me

). She is find it matched her need quite closely.
Nexus 7 is really more for entertainment - media consumption and gaming. Not so suitable for serious stuff like note taking and presentation.
I agree with Cynox, unless pricing is main factor then just go ahead and get the N7. You might need to find office suite apps that are suitable to your work & study uses. I ain't sure of any medical apps that could be beneficial yet practical for your uni but I do randomly come across some medical apps on the playstore. Maybe before you buy, you could go to google playstore on the web and see if there are apps that will be beneficial to you compared to iOS?
