I don't think that is how one justify a handling of a car

OK. To me, a basic person who drive a car, that is what I want for handling. Anyway, that's just me. Thanks for correcting my wording used. smile.gif

On paper , Proton Preve win hands down in terms of power, handling, driving experience, comfort. But if FC is really your concern, that wouldn't be your choice as the FC is on the heavy side especially city driving. Spare parts & maintenance should be fine for the Preve. Finally the choice is on you. Mirrage would definitely have great FC since it's an ECO Car, that will do good for you if you are really concern about FC
*
Yes, you are right, on paper, Preve is the best for money at that range. Drove Preve for a week, and feel it is a bit underpower and very heavy and slow pick-up. As fuel consumption for city drive (Mid Valley area) was about 8.5km/l, which I think is not too bad. The only complain I have on the Preve is the engine noise when try to over take ( > 2k rpm) and need to press more for it to start moving tongue.gif

I am actually looking for a daily car to work, but I don't really work in city nor trap in traffic often. wink.gif

yeah, i know there is a key inside as well
but when i went test drive, that key fob is inside a plastic like those toys in tora
and only 1 key is inside the plastic..thats why asking to make sure

D whole key assembly is made out of 2 parts
- ordinary key slotted into d case
- case consisting of alarm/keyless system/immobilizer

From wat I was told during d test drive, d slot is mainly for charging d unit but u can leave d whole thingy in ur pocket or s'where nearby. D key is used when d remote unit's power is too low.

But as a 3 cylinder, pickup is quite good for a 1.2 n tat CVT really keeps d revs to a minimum unlike conventional transmissions. I think it was revving about 2k/rpm around 100kmh. Down side is tat being 1 cylinder short, harsher vibration n engine note is part of its natural characteristic. U can pop d hood n hv a look at d vibration on d top left engine mounting during idling. However I'm very sure some aftermarket sound insulation will on d firewall will help cabin NVH a lot.

Unlike wat some claim tat handling is poor, I'd say it easily feels more assuring to corner compared to P2's best seller. EPS speed-sensitive steering is super light at low speeds and gains weight as speed increases. If d new owner is willing to replace d eco tires wit 1 larger size, I'm very sure it would b even more fun to drive.

Although the Mirage is quite zippy since very small turning radius, one thing i concerned is the road grip of the car as the tire thread only 165mm wide. hmm.gif

As alien said, depend on really what you looking/demand from your car.
Some ppl suka lumba here and there, no point they go buy a low cc car.
Some ppl love big confortable space in their car.
Some ppl like me, that work in city, this car is good. Always stuck at traffic, travel here and there a lot. It does gives you a big difference in your petrol bill.

So its really depend on your entirely.

i was quite suprise when i saw the RPM is at 1.7k RPM when i was cruising @ 90KPH...very low
and yeah, abt the tyre...if u know...is it possible to upgrade to wider tyres?
from 165 to 175 like the ones in myvi?

and abt the key, did u mean the key is used to charge the remote?

If you increase the tyre thread to 175mm wide, your FC will be suffer a bit, since the road surface resistance against the tyre had increased also. sad.gif

Kinda a tradeoff, if you want better handling, your FC will decrease. hmm.gif

There is a slot in the center dash to plug the key fob if the fob battery is flat. you can use the key to open to passenger side door in this situation because keyless entry wont work.

Congratulation! rclxms.gif
Please do provide your review and feedback on the car. Would really want to find out the fuel consumption and the ride.

Thanks!

i thought u use the key inside to start if the keyfob battery dies....am noob at this anyway tongue.gif
ahh...that hole...i saw it but the SA never told me anything abt it
i personally though its use to put coins biggrin.gif

i went to 2 different branches...2 different SA also didn't tell me much
they're either
1. poorly brief of the car's feature or
2. didn't even brief be4(need to explorer the car themselves)
both test drive, they just put the keyfob in the cup holders and since its inside a plastic, can't test as well
