QUOTE(Deja Vu @ Nov 26 2012, 06:37 PM) D whole key assembly is made out of 2 parts Although the Mirage is quite zippy since very small turning radius, one thing i concerned is the road grip of the car as the tire thread only 165mm wide. - ordinary key slotted into d case - case consisting of alarm/keyless system/immobilizer From wat I was told during d test drive, d slot is mainly for charging d unit but u can leave d whole thingy in ur pocket or s'where nearby. D key is used when d remote unit's power is too low. But as a 3 cylinder, pickup is quite good for a 1.2 n tat CVT really keeps d revs to a minimum unlike conventional transmissions. I think it was revving about 2k/rpm around 100kmh. Down side is tat being 1 cylinder short, harsher vibration n engine note is part of its natural characteristic. U can pop d hood n hv a look at d vibration on d top left engine mounting during idling. However I'm very sure some aftermarket sound insulation will on d firewall will help cabin NVH a lot. Unlike wat some claim tat handling is poor, I'd say it easily feels more assuring to corner compared to P2's best seller. EPS speed-sensitive steering is super light at low speeds and gains weight as speed increases. If d new owner is willing to replace d eco tires wit 1 larger size, I'm very sure it would b even more fun to drive. |

If you increase the tyre thread to 175mm wide, your FC will be suffer a bit, since the road surface resistance against the tyre had increased also.
Kinda a tradeoff, if you want better handling, your FC will decrease. |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Nov 30 2012, 03:09 PM) IMO that is unlikely, because at Thailand, the government got a industrial incentive program for manufacturers to make a eco car (aka car with more than 20km/l mileage and low CO2 emission). That why Mitsubishi able to slash down the price and enter Malaysia. Malaysia also can't tariff much on Mirage since they signed AFTA. This post has been edited by lcy851031: Nov 30 2012, 03:19 PM |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Dec 4 2012, 11:48 PM) EPS is not an update/upgrade from hydraulic One of the advantage of EPS had compare to hydraulic system is the EPS is using electric motor to assist us doing the turn instead of hydraulic pump that draws power from engine to operate. So it will improve your fuel efficiency.in fact, for me..its a downgrade what EPS did is EPS took away the fun factor of driving the car theres a reason why proton until now dn't want to change to EPS same as lotus, BMW, mercedes and those super car brand Also eliminate the usage of hydraulic hose and hydraulic pump to make the car easier maintaineance. But only drawback i think is the some of the EPS cannot had the feedback as responsive as a hydraulic one. Which i think this can be properly tuned. |
