i'm not sure for a new car is it normal compression
but late model like honda vtec b16, toyota blacktop 4age, mitsubishi mivec 4g92 compression around 10.5-11.0 need ron97 if u wanna feel more power

Most cars today got 10.X:1 compression ratio.. and yes after pumping RON97 you can feel the differences. But depends on the manufacturer it self, like VW they did mentioned that their TSI engine will only give it's true potential by using RON97.

Higher compression ratio engine also means fuel save and more power(theoretically). So far the highest compression ratio on a OEM NA engine that I know is the Mazda Skyactive, 14:1 next the Ford Duratec, 12:1. (VW's TSI engine compression are not so big either but with the help of the forced induction system it boost the compression more)

when i test drive this car...all i can say is ..mitsu is mitsu
local car remains local car
i can say the soundproof is done nicely, noise level is reduced by alot
if u stand outside with engine on, its quite loud actually...but sitting inside with door's closed...u hear nothing
driving it as well..noise it minimal
if u ask me, a myvi with soundproof like that, CVT, digitised aircon, 2-din HU, push start will cost almost the same as well
*
yeah I love the sound proof. I was testing it at pyramid last 2 week. the big even speaker just beside it. the sound lowered by approx. 70% .

Ipod shuffle for those 1st 500 getting car key 1st biggrin.gif. Booking doesn't count. My SA quite honest, pay 5% DP with no mark up.
