What happened? Sorry to hear that. Still too early to conclude 2013 anyway. Look on the bright side and be positive la. We just plan things, the outcome depends on situation and luck. That is, if u dont believe in God. As in Jay situation, gar-feeding is a pain to his pocket, but he made a really cool story here, like, i never heard of a bichir eating gar before (not when the size is almost the same).

In the end, all of us fall into a students-of-life category. For me, beside that i love animal 'almost' by birth, i think i need something natural other than computer, tablet and smartphones. Also, i found that its rewarding that i can have a relaxing time just by staring at the grace of their movements. There's belief that certain sps of creature can understand ur mind, but i wont go that far, too much of a fairy tale already

Sorry for ur lost..are this bichir same tanks with the ropes that died earlier on? If yes, then I think better check the cause of the death and the water parameters. Is good to practice to find the cause of the death of the fish, to prevent more unwanted dead fish appear.

If the gar is bigger and not aggressive, then you can try to comm. There some successful cases of mixing spotted gar and arowana, just need to monitor them often.

should be no problem as long your tank is big enuf for this fish. dun forget sufficient food as well cos you know arowana how they eat compared with gars..

yes..make sure they are always well feed..the gar size dont too much different with the aro..else the aro might end up as gar's meal

Thanks for the info, will try. I'm not worry about feeder fish because I always keep extra. And new record this time is 0 death rate of my feeder fish. Use those empty drum (tong biru) and river water + oxygen pump will be enough.
