good luck with those 2 in quality wise, you'll need it.. how bout kai's kbt race compact backlit mkb?
*
haha I did take your advice though I did a lot more reading on the "gaming" brands and reviews showed no problems so far, and the design and features attracted me. My gf likes things which look diff haha so she said to get either those 2 since its a present from her I can't really complain I showed her some of the others but she'd like these 2 more and i'm happy enough that'd she shell out that much for me so I don't really want to seem like i dont care what she likes biggrin.gif!!

I like these 2 boards as much as the others I saw.

Right now i'm kinda stuck between Razer black widow stealth ultimate and the K90. Reason is because theyre both exactly where my budget stands, I would like to get a Ducky shine 2 but since its a present its not nice to ask for more as it is now.

RM400 with backlit mech keyboard.

So im deciding between so its also between red and brown xD
*
I suggest test it first, i was also in dilemma of these switches, until I went to heavy-arm shop and test it myself... Personally I felt the brown is much better in terms of feeling and typing as there is a slight feedback so that you can feel the key is being recognised...

At the end I choosen Ducky Shine 2 Mx Brown from heavy-arm...

Razer black widow stealth ultimate isn't finger print magnet? or they changed to mat?

Oh, because i've read a lot of websites they all say that the Red's are really really light to the point its not nice for gaming and typing.

I've never used a mechanical keyboard before so would it be easy to get used to?
*
for me, when i first migrate to mechanical keyboards, more specifically the cherry mx blue from rubberdome, the typing sensation felt great, it feels like you are not controlling your fingers, it just types.... and it definitely will improve your WPM later if not now. I also liked cherry reds, they felt very light and somehow easier to type faster XD

about gaming, im not really into gaming that much, so not really sure how they fare compared to ruberdomes sweat.gif

You might not want to ignore CM Storm Trigger. It is Costar made.

If you still insist of choosing Corsair or Razer, well good luck. You'll need them.

Well, sem break began a few weeks ago and I got the Phantasy Star Online 2 fever.
Both blue and red switches feel great for gaming. Tapping (double/triple/quadruple/spam) problem, none. tongue.gif

If I'm dying need of a backlit keyboard, I'll wait for Shine2 or get the KBT Race.

To me, there's no point getting K90 or Blackwidow. because K90 isn't 100% mechanical, and BW for razer's lottery style quality.

Most of the reviews from those tech sites tends to bias.. probably the company is sending the best unit, or the reviewer actually receive something in return, you know la.. Worst is the reviewer himself isn't a mechanical keyboard user / first time user... shakehead.gif

Going to replace my singleshot ABS keycaps with doubleshot one. Got a rather reasonable price from Kinesis itself. They accept international CC too.
These cap are in white color only and are from SP. I think is old stock that don't use on their current product line. Any Kinesis user interest?

LOL... this can be a conspiracy also. What if Razer send us the "GOOD" quality one for review, and then the rest are using the "normal" quality? There is no definite answer to their quality unless someone go to their factory and then randomly picked one of the keyboards from there for review, else it would be as close to meaningless sweat.gif

well, at heavyarm, the boss is kind and friendly enough to let you try all the types of switches, last time, i went there to buy razer mousepads, then i asked him to let me try some mechanical keyboards, and without any hesitation, he opened up some duckies for me to try, so in the end i managed to try out all the four switches even though i never bough any of them that day.

Pretty good service i would say, at least better than some sellers who are very reluctant to allow you to touch or open up products if you didnt express your intention to buy them sweat.gif

DIY yourself then. It will void the warranty though.
