QUOTE(gouken @ Oct 14 2012, 11:20 PM) For me, anecdotally, the battery with moderate to heavy use definitely lasts a day with 20-30% left late night, in fact I wish it ngam ngam finish at the end of the day so I can charge nicely from 0-100% at night. But overall, having this phone, battery is not an issue at all and with the optimization in jelly bean, just turn on 3g, the OS will smart enough to switch optimally when 3g or wifi is needed. Toggling between 2g and 3g, though can prolong the usage may not be pratical because of the hassle of toggling. My advice would be to embrace 3g and forget about the hassle of toggling to truly enjoy this device the way it was intended to be.my 2 cents. No need toggle such stuffs Use your time fruitfully on other stuffs

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 14 2012, 10:38 PM) The guy replied already, stock will arrive 2-3 days and he will confirm again on the stock availability. At the same time, my friend who is an engineer for Samsung Malaysia just told me that he can get 10-15% staff discount price for me... The drawbacks? Can get only in Nov (after Deepavali) and the chances of low stock.... assuming after 10%discount of 2299 is still above 2k plus And 1 month waiting period Better get sme set from lyn seller

QUOTE(kembar4 @ Oct 14 2012, 11:22 PM) It's not advice-able to charge from 0%. It would not be good for the life of your battery. Trust me you can, I have a phd in battery science all modern battery got threshold for charging, the 0% you see is actually at least extra 10% left to avoid severing the chemical.

QUOTE(kembar4 @ Oct 14 2012, 11:21 PM) Is it the one on top of lowyat plaza? So i don't need anything special right? Just take the phone to the service center and they'll handle the rest? Yes..got one Samsung service centre at LowYat Plaza 4th floor. Actually they can check whether your phone SME or AP set. But better bring your buying receipt along..just in case they start being fussy and ask the receipt. Much easier if you register your e-warranty so no hussle with the receipt anymore.

So , how do we register the e-warranty since the set will be obtained from Digi? Is it safe to assume that digi will register the e-warranty for us, on the day we get the phone, so all we have to do is visit the service center and they should know that its a digi set?

Btw good to know that the free 50gb dropbox storage is for life (unless they change policy) and will not be deleted after 2 years. It will just be read-only mode.

Telcos seldom do e-warranty like they supposed to. Normally you had to register it yourself. Easiest way is ask help from FallenOut (look at S3 thresd - 1st page) to register the e-warranty for you.

Is e-warranty that hard? when I got my Desire HD, I just log into their given website with the serial number of the phone which is all available in the System Info

Many bad experience from telco registering PM forumer fallenout to register for you. He does it free - he need your mobile no n phone imei only If the seller is responsible he should register it immediately n you get response from samsung within minutes. Problem esp with telcos they do not n accumulate n pass to another guy to do such Service center recognize local sets through imei n serial no of phone

Thank you very much. Found this guy on the service noticeboard section yesterday when I was randomly browsing the section. Didn't know that his service would come in handy to me. QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 14 2012, 11:24 PM) My last words on battery life DONT WORRY . It sips only not burn Leave your 3g on 24/7 It is a bmw on perodua fuel consumption Use it to believe it Do not even compare it to any other andtoid phones It is an insult to Note2 comparing I dont even use default power saving feature Battery life is indeed very good. Without wasting time thinking abt toggling this and that, this is the 3rd time charging battery. But it's nothing to be shouted abt for such a huge phone with large battery capacity. Just like a TATA lorry with a big tank of diesel.

This note2 battery is only 24% higher capacity than note but its battery life is at least twice n up to even 3 times that of note The exynos chip together w jellybean had make it more efficient Your last sentence is therefore quite incorrect This post has been edited by benny888: Oct 14 2012, 11:53 PM
