Most software related issues ( due to root, flashing, kernels ) can be easily solved if you are a seasoned user of Samsung phones. So avoid AP sets if you are a complete noob if come to such stuffs. You run into problems and unable to solve yourself and sent in for claim, warranty is definitely void. SME sets 9.9/10 they will process for you FOC
*
Totally agreed. To newbies..listen to Uncle Benny advice thumbup.gif

you dont use does not mean others dont use la tai kor. maxis, digi and celcom works very well in 2G,2.5G or 3G.

The battery life makes alot difference.
*
Note2 dont have issue with battery la bro. How many days is enough for you oso i dont know.
Like i said..if you want to use only 2G then better buy Nokia 3310. For smartphone that constantly use data..of course need 3G or atleast wifi.
Sometimes i cannot understand why ppl buy smartphone that cost RM2000 but still stingy about battery shakehead.gif

Mr Benny, may i ask, apart from the battery life, will the 3G data consume a lot when phone is idle with 3G connection on?

will those daily weather thingy, skype, whatsapp, facebook consume much data if on for 24/7?
*
If staying in Klang Valley..use Umobile RM28 plan. Unlimited data thou they will trottle when you reached 500MB. More than enough for your networking and all weather thingy sync 24/7 on 3G. Plus got free 100mins call (all network) and 30sms.

u student you never understand why you say like that immediately know u always hook to power or burden yourself with a power bank.

We working we need the phone for a full day usage. Cannot be every 4 to 5 hours i need to find a charger or keep charging in the car.

Btw as a noob do you know the speed of 2G/2.5G, 3G and 3.5G?
*
If you're so dang busy that cannot find charger every 5 hours then you're stupid not to buy spare battery and bring it along with you.
Nuff said..even noob knows the different between 2G..GPRS..Edge..3G and so on.
Btw..what works did you do that need constantly staring at your smartphone..? Watching prawn ehh laugh.gif

so means that those things wont reach or exceed 500MB even if i on for 24/7?  unsure.gif

ps: i am from Penang  wub.gif
*
Even if you exceed 500 MB..your networking and weather thingy can still be use without problem or extra charge. You can still continue browsing LYN forum biggrin.gif
But once trottle...you'll find hard time downloading any app from market. ~~bummer~~

u seems do not know when u question that. A person that knows wont ask that. Only those do not will ask.

Thats why i said if a full charge can last a day why get spare. It shows how noob u r. Bring spare smart. lol. You think all phones in the world battery is exchangable lol.
*
Bro..everything depend on how you use your phone. If just making calls..networking..sync email and weather thingy..then like Uncle Benny said you can last around 4 days thou i take 2 - 3 days is more acceptable.
But if you run amok with browsing and hard gaming then like our friend just posted..can last around 8 hours screen on time.
So..what more did you not understand..?
And Note is not like fruity phone that you need to bring your charger along or those bulky power juice. The battery is removeable. Go buy two or three spare batteries if it still enough for you.
I tried to avoid calling you a noob but your grabs of not knowing on how Note working really amazed me. Maybe you're a real noob after all.
~pardon my language~

Guys,

If a friend buys the plan (Digi), and I were to buy the phone from him, how would i claim for warranty?

Can i go to any digi center / samsung center and pass the phone over without any receipt?
*
Send direct to service centre much faster.

Is it the one on top of lowyat plaza? So i don't need anything special right? Just take the phone to the service center and they'll handle the rest?
*
Yes..got one Samsung service centre at LowYat Plaza 4th floor. Actually they can check whether your phone SME or AP set. But better bring your buying receipt along..just in case they start being fussy and ask the receipt.
Much easier if you register your e-warranty so no hussle with the receipt anymore.

So , how do we register the e-warranty since the set will be obtained from Digi? Is it safe to assume that digi will register the e-warranty for us, on the day we get the phone, so all we have to do is visit the service center and they should know that its a digi set?
*
Telcos seldom do e-warranty like they supposed to. Normally you had to register it yourself. Easiest way is ask help from FallenOut (look at S3 thresd - 1st page) to register the e-warranty for you.
