Guys,
If a friend buys the plan (Digi), and I were to buy the phone from him, how would i claim for warranty?
Can i go to any digi center / samsung center and pass the phone over without any receipt?

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Oct 14 2012, 11:20 PM) Send direct to service centre much faster. Is it the one on top of lowyat plaza? So i don't need anything special right? Just take the phone to the service center and they'll handle the rest?

QUOTE(gouken @ Oct 14 2012, 11:20 PM) For me, anecdotally, the battery with moderate to heavy use definitely lasts a day with 20-30% left late night, in fact I wish it ngam ngam finish at the end of the day so I can charge nicely from 0-100% at night. But overall, having this phone, battery is not an issue at all and with the optimization in jelly bean, just turn on 3g, the OS will smart enough to switch optimally when 3g or wifi is needed. Toggling between 2g and 3g, though can prolong the usage may not be pratical because of the hassle of toggling. My advice would be to embrace 3g and forget about the hassle of toggling to truly enjoy this device the way it was intended to be.my 2 cents. It's not advice-able to charge from 0%. It would not be good for the life of your battery.

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Oct 14 2012, 11:28 PM) Yes..got one Samsung service centre at LowYat Plaza 4th floor. Actually they can check whether your phone SME or AP set. But better bring your buying receipt along..just in case they start being fussy and ask the receipt. Much easier if you register your e-warranty so no hussle with the receipt anymore. So , how do we register the e-warranty since the set will be obtained from Digi? Is it safe to assume that digi will register the e-warranty for us, on the day we get the phone, so all we have to do is visit the service center and they should know that its a digi set?

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Oct 14 2012, 11:34 PM) Telcos seldom do e-warranty like they supposed to. Normally you had to register it yourself. Easiest way is ask help from FallenOut (look at S3 thresd - 1st page) to register the e-warranty for you. QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 14 2012, 11:39 PM) Many bad experience from telco registering PM forumer fallenout to register for you. He does it free - he need your mobile no n phone imei only If the seller is responsible he should register it immediately n you get response from samsung within minutes. Problem esp with telcos they do not n accumulate n pass to another guy to do such Service center recognize local sets through imei n serial no of phone Very useful piece of information. Thank you very much. Found this guy on the service noticeboard section yesterday when I was randomly browsing the section. Didn't know that his service would come in handy to me. For anyone who is looking, it is here: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2455938&hl=

QUOTE(crazyissac @ Oct 15 2012, 07:49 PM) 2NE1's song - I Don't Care haha xD! Do it, and claim the title of the first person to mod his phone using this mod. You will definately be a legend in this thread. My vote is with you. God will bless you and your device. Reading from the posts, if anything happens, a nandroid would restore everything back

Glad that uncle benny managed to swap his internal and external. To know that it would be a success is 1 step for us to try with our own units. Still awaiting mine though. Will definitely do what benny did, once i get a 64GB card

QUOTE(outpace @ Oct 17 2012, 08:33 PM) Who do we transfer the money to and which buyer you would buy from? I mean this: If order more/equal 50 offer= RM68, postage + RM3
If order more/equal 38 offer= RM70, postage + RM3
If order more/equal 30 and less than 38 offer = RM72, postage + RM3
if order less than 30 && more than 20 offer = RM74 , postage + RM3I am sure you'd have to transfer to aspireoo6 and he'll transfer the bulk amount to the dealer and then the stuff will be delivered to him / he would ask the dealer to mail it to us.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Oct 17 2012, 10:51 PM) Since I saw alot of names here, I got in touch with my supplier from abroad and may be able to get a better deal for you guys. No promises yet (The price is definately cheaper, however still waiting for the cost of importing it) If all goes well, I will reply here / PM aspire2oo6 and he may discuss with you guys, then if you guys decide to get it through me, then its definitely going to be a better deal

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Oct 18 2012, 12:36 AM) Offtopic liquid armor related lol Hello. After speaking with my supplier , If we can get the order to be about 50 pieces, the price for each unit would be RM62.50 (Postage would be RM3) If you are interested in appointing me as 'the one' then let me know. I don't think anyone can match this price. I am a trader here for tablet PCs as well so I am planning to bring it in to sell to my other customers who buys my tablets. I am buying 40 units for ready stock here, and 50 people in this forum will make it 90 bottles which will drive the price even more lower. This post has been edited by kembar4: Oct 18 2012, 12:50 AM

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Oct 18 2012, 01:04 AM) okay count me in, just pm me your bank in details or COD btw I curious just spray in on the micro fiber cloth and just like clean the phone to apply it lol ?? yet we can use it on screen and back cover, you know s3 back cover so easily get scratch last, celcom announce their plan, and at publika (I don't know where is it, and pavilion, and got other place, just click below link) http://www.soyacincau.com/2012/10/18/galax..._source=twitterYou just spray 2 - 3 times on the cloth, and apply it on the phone for 10 - 20 seconds in 1 direction. It works on glass surface only. Saw on youtube where a guy applied on a dummy phone with plasic screen and it got scratched easily. He stated that according to the manufacturer, it only works for glass so it'll be useless if you were to apply it at the back of the phone.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Oct 18 2012, 01:09 AM) wah so much spray it nicely and swipe in 1 direction but from that video that people apply on iphone 4 / 4s back cover @@ so I was curious can apply on my s3 back cover or not as it is very easily scratchable if can't then just use on screen off topic, now USD price very low, around 1USD = RM 3.05 Refer to the post above. The only one that I see where the person is applying at the back cover is iphone5 and that phone has a glass cover at the back, compared to the poly-carbonate plastic on the note2. QUOTE(thpace @ Oct 18 2012, 01:10 AM) how to remove if dont like? You can't. You wouldn't even notice it. Or apply a screen protector over it and forget that it's 'there' This post has been edited by kembar4: Oct 18 2012, 01:14 AM

QUOTE(joytest @ Oct 18 2012, 01:20 AM) I recall seeing somewhere that you can use cleaning alcohol to rub it off...or the nail polish remover... Have to be really really careful with them. If they seep through your screen, then it is not going to be pleasant.

QUOTE(gouken @ Oct 18 2012, 01:31 AM) +1 had 2 frens screwed up their screen because of this As far as i know, there is a chemical coat on top of the glass screen. Using a nail polish remover might remove this coating, and then you'd see all sorts of effects on your screen. Best is to not use any strong chemical on it unless you're willing to take the risk, a very expensive risk.

QUOTE(fwhoam @ Oct 18 2012, 02:50 AM) nice price. if confirm= 90 piece = lower price? The price is already fixed at RM62.50 @ 90 Pieces where I will take about 40 Pieces. If we can get it to 110 - 120 Pieces, perhaps can lower it to RM60
