hmm....i cant stomach yor logic. 1st of all, note 2 is a phalet with a stylus provided for better accuracy in drawing or writing. while iphone 5 is a fon that mainly uses finger to type (writing is totally optional). im not sure of ios6 has any notes that uses free hand writing, but so far i didnt came across any app that uses handwriting in ios5.

as for the price, those r from the grey market and its not the official price from apple malaysia. for those rich kid/guy/lady that cant wait and willing to fork out that price for it, its their own right for getting it, if u cant afford at that price, just wait for the local telco that offer plans or packages. else, nobody is stoping u from getting other devices.

note 2 is a phablet, it too big for pocket and personally, if i wan a tablet, i would just get a tablet for the bigger size screen n put it inside the backpack.

n plz, if really just to get it for games, just go n get PSP/PSVita/NDS/etc for better game performance and graphics.

Nah, note2 with all that high specs still abit laggy. I opened maps on note2 and it still has a 0.5s delay when u pinch in and pinch out. And i open the apps, it still lags about 1 second before reacting.

Ios still the best!

Android phones Very likely Samsung again. Am current Galaxy S2 user, but I'm not big fan of the S3 at all for some reasons. I'm not the one who like the Note 2 too, it is way too huge to my preference. As a result, I might be forced to go for the S3, as I trusted Samsung more than other brands these days.

Just got the note 2. It's pretty brilliant.

Im also still using a iphone4s, and one of the main reasons i decided to test out the note 2 instead of waiting for the iphone5 is because the IOS platform has become rather dated and boring. I've been an IOS user since the 3Gs btw. And all those 'new' fancy features with IOS6 barely works in malaysia anyways. Me being a new android user, im quite impressed with google now (lol) and the motion usage of the note 2. so far i can't really complain about the phone (3 days old).

However, the iphone 5 and the IOS will probably be smoother than any current android device and probably any upcoming device but not by much. I believe this is due to the fact the OS is only made to run on 1 phone. There's no constant change of hardware and there's no different spec version where as the android has different HTCs, samsungs, motorola etc etc.

We'll see if there's anything good to look forward to in IOS 7 or something, but right now to me it doesnt matter which phone is faster and has the least lag because at the end of the day it's differences of a split second, nothing to really to kill about. To me it's about innovation which is what has impressed me with the android in the last couple of months.

thing with samsung is, they themselves dunno what they want to design.

their mentality is i will design 10 stuff with different sizes and specs, surely one will fit you.

look at their tablets, i have lost count of how many model they have.

same thing with note 1/2. neither tablet nor phone. surely ppl will pick one.

well i moved from iphone to note2 ...and i was afraid that note is big and those shit...after i got it...it is actually just nice....other phones became midget too small damn hard to see.

Some ppl like big screen, some like "pocket fit" , some cannot afford expensive, .....etc...

crave for even bigger one, Samsung note..... no problem for big screen, as long as nice/easy to browse.....

I'm not sure about TS but, you have to consider this. Once you use something as big as Note, it's very hard for you to turn back. I used to have a desire HD, 4.3'. Now for me, it's too small. I can't tahan 5 mins looking at it. Let alone, 4' iphone 5.

The latest OS from Android is butterly smooth. If you tilt your phone to landscape, the delay is actually configurable. Granted if you have the knowledge of know-how. I'll most likely recommend iphone to most people who approached me on which to choose, well, let's say I don't want newbie android users to come asking me how to this or that.

If note 2 everythings is fast than Iphone,do you still choose Iphone?
Dont forget IOS only for one iphone type.
Android for many branded phone type.
Off course you feel IOS more faster because no other phone using IOS to compare.
If IOS try open for all mobile manufacturer,

Yesterday go to hospital umum Kuching for checking up. All the young Docs and nurses using samsung s3 or Note 1 or 2. Very few patient using Iphone. Now really feel the tide changing. If Apple still design the difficult difficult to build iphone and imacs , sooner or later they will get caught up with supply constraints and annual refresh cycles , where they have not yet sell enough of the past generation phone then have to changeover to next generation, with each generation being harder to manufacture. Just saw that The Thin Thin IMACs that wowed audiences when announced will be delayed to next year, which will miss the Christmas shopping season totally. If things goes like this for 2 more years , Tim Cook will have his goose cooked.

1st of all, iOS is an apple proprietary OS while android is an open source OS. the cost of getting the OS is totally different, and lets not forget of the upcoming wp8.

true enough that iOS only for iphone, but its for iphone 3g/3gs/4/4s/5 where each gen has different hardware.

and speaking of hardware, the only differences is either the speed of the processor, ram and battery capacity. both android and ios r also running on ARM based processor, even if im not wrg, there were people tried to install iOS in android phone and android OS in iphone which i have no idea on the development now.

even if u proclaim note 2 is faster than iphone, there r ppl will still choose iphone due to the size and weight. or better, there r ppl willing to choose HTC or Sony android/wp8 fon rather than crappy samsung fon (in a matter of fact, im anti-samsung but not anti-android OS)

That not a problem. Apple the designer of iPhone & iOS, why bother bout their OS? If Samsung so great, why they dont develop their own OS??

In your dream, iOS wont be avail. for open market. Android is open-source, any manufacturer can use em'

So, think again. If there is no Android, would the Samsung actually have the chances in market?

Only i don't like is peoples never use note 2 just simply make any junk

If Iphone is better,why must choose samsung to compare ?
Why don't choose LG,HTC,MOTOROLA,SONY and etc to compare ?
Nothing perfect phone is this world.
I only mention is if Apple IOS open source to all phones or Iphone using Android,
that time we just can judge Iphone is still best or not.

lets not forget that Android was the 1 that save samsung from the smartphone market. without Android, samsung is just a piece of crap that is worst than any other manufacturer.
