Eh bro, u sure? I currently using iphone 4s, wanted to change to note 2. But when i tested S3, i felt some laggyness during the transition during navigation, zoom in out, opening messages, call n ect. So i assume the same also happen in note 2. Can u prove i am wrong?

N also some comments here, the touch screen in note 2 is note accurate compared iphone what is ur comment on this since u said no different btw ios n android? Please share sweat.gif

I have a question for Android users, I know that there are many use of NFC, but do you really use it in reality? And how often do you use it in one day?
*
They say nfc use for payments and stuff. But really for me it's all sales talk atm coz it is not yet mainstream.

For me personally I find it very useful though. Here are my usage:
1. As automation. When I enter car. Tap dock. Car mode on. Gps on. Waze on. After finish driving. Tap dock. Car mode off. Gps off. Waze off. I safe about 30 secs every drive coz no need to fiddle with phone.
2. I have a nfc tag on my ipad. When I want to tether from ipad to phone I tap phone on nfc tag. Automatic Tether auto on. Tap phone again on tag, tether off. So no need to fiddle on both gadgets. Just turn wifi on ipad and u good to go.

Nfc is part of my life now.

S3 and ipad owner. S3 no lag. The transition thing is adjustable. By default is set to 1.if u want faster set to 0.5.or even faster set to 0. 0 is no transition affect, just bam!

Btw, Just to note the sms and contacts apps have a bit of lag When opening . I updated to jellybean and it's improved. But still can't beat iphone . But tolerable.

Yes , this laggyness is in S3, note2 and htc one x. Its a characteristic of android. Its laggy and the screen are hardly accurate especially htc one x.

Iphones are more natural

In terms of spec Note 2 is higher than S3 if not mistaken so I presume note 2 is faster than S3. Note 2 + jelly bean the lag had become acceptable not so obvious I can say. You'll see the big difference when you pinch or rotate your screen.

I totally agree with the touch screen. If don't believe ask those now 2 user try to press lyn page number without zooming. I need to zoom in only able to get to this page 32 where else iphone FOUR although is small but I never zoom.

Why apple still use a dumb battery le.
My ip4s with push mail off. In fact I switch off all push thingy ie weather , email, location services and only enable whats app. The phone battery only last me until 4-5pm.
So sickening. Ne3d to charge again and again.
With note2. I don't have this idiotic problem of finding charger anymore. Good luck to iphone fan boys.

1) no improvement from previous version, unless u wanna argue that 4.0 screen now is 0.5 inch bigger and thats consider a BIG improvement rclxub.gif

2) user limitation is still the main issue, as with all other iOS devices. how can it be consider a smart device when there's so much limitation? try asking any fanboy how come ur bluetooth cannot send images/music/video, and they will answer u: "helo brader, nowadays no more ppl using bluetooth...." doh.gif

3) 80% of iPhone users are buying the brand, not the device. of course naive fanboys wont agree with this, but fact is fact. common sense mah, why dont see other windows/bb/android users go queue up 3 days 3 nites just to get the device, and even without the need of reading reviews before getting one? its like: "wow, i am getting an apple faster than the rest, i am so freaking cool, even if i dont know how to search a freaking contact via my new device" i pretty much salute this kind of ppl notworthy.gif

4) built quality, everytime got new iPhone, everytime sure got manufacturing problems, but of course and again, fanboys can still argue: "oh, this is China factory problem, their QC sucks to the max" and then can deny the fact that 99.9999% of their daily products come from China whistling.gif

ps: i dont use the word phone in the above, bcoz i dont feel that the product coming out from this fruity company is consider a phone, let alone smartphone sweat.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Its a NFC Charger plus battery. The battery goes into the base and you just put the S3 or Note 2 on top. Zero Contacts. haha.

1) Smoothness?? I wonder you ever own a apple device or just an android troller. Biggest joke ever.  rclxub.gif

2) Display? The Galaxy Note 2 display offers a 265 PPI pixel density, which is lower than the iPhone 5′s 326 PPI.

3) Performance? Not sure about this haven't seen any benchmark test yet.

And let me add more for you

4) Security (Virus, Malware & ads)

5) 3rd party apps support. Seriously I realize 3rd party apps is still behind iOS. Maybe due to android buffet style. Developer need to test tons of device before roll out. So updating and supporting is really a tough job for them.

6) Books

7) Size? Up to you to debate. Some prefer smaller one hand and pocket size phone but weight is definitely lighter win.

8) Multi touch screen - IMO iPhone although the screen is smaller but it's more accurate than my note 2. This is my personal opinion as I always tap wrongly on my note 2.

9) Sync & backup

10) User friendly.

Want more? Let me get on iPhone 5 first cos I'm using Note 2 at the moment. I'm just comparing it with my ex iPhone 4 and readings...
*
I don't think that person you quoted an experienced smartphone user at all. Note 2 is all better than iPhone 5? No way an Android will feel faster or smoother or more responsive than IOSX especially with iPhone 5 CPU. Most users claim a device faster just purely highly influenced by the specs of their phone they are having, they feel it faster just because they have a phone with quad core processors? I've been with Windows phones, Android phones, IOSX devices since all these years, you just name it. No way an Android platform feels faster or more responsive than IOSX no matter what hardware a smartphone is using. Let face the truth.

Do not get me wrong, I'm not die hard fan with iPhone, Iphone 5 will be my 1st iPhone actually because of some factors previous iPhones don't convince me. But I don't agree any other smartphones in the market has the smoothness of i devices. Maybe some of the latest Windows 8 phones do, but definitely not in Android devices.

very good questions. It has been very obvious that all smartphones sales are very dependent on the platform they use. No doubt, Android brings all smartphones up in the market. Without it, it will be like in the "old days". Have a look at recent Nokia Lumia phones, I personally find the Lumia are amazingly well design and really well put together. However, if it is Android based, it should have been selling much much more better. I won't do for Windows 8 phones as my smartphone, I strongly believe most hardcore users won't too!

Ppl buying iphone without looking at the review is bcos they were a satisfied user base on previous device. The new iPhone that come with ios will only make thephone better. Don't tell me extra ram and processor will make the phone worst? Ppl are queuing outside Apple store is due to the store limitation. Unlike other device you can only buy iphone from Apple. Try ask Samsung to sell note 2 only at Samsung store and see what happen. This is for Apple to control price of device. Try go low yat and ask around. That shop giving you 2299? I give you 2200 come with screen protector. Sooner the price being drag down till 1.8k in result ppl like me will suffer big loss when selling the phone. Let me tell you a true story. I just bought a note 2 and planning to sell my two years old iphone FOUR. You know what deal I got? wtt S2 two mth device only. If I remember correctly iphone 4 and s2 were more or less the same time launching. And in result I sold my FOUR for 900. No joke.

I have to admit that note 2 is a good device but not in all aspects. Iphone does have his good and bad. Oh and about the manufacturing defects come on Bro don't tell me phone don't have. Apple produce millons of iphone and you expect them to have 0 defect? Do the math 1% of 1 million is how much. When other manufacture phone have defect nobody give a sh*t still pay it like God but when iphone make a 1% or lesser defect they start making a hu ha the like Apple not gonna change for them. I'm sure you know how sucks Malaysia Samsung looks like right? Try to claim warranty from Apple and you know how good they are. 1 to 1 exchange no joke.

The rest I'll let others to talk abt it otherwise my pist gonna be very very long. I'm sending from my Samsung note 2. Like I said before I'm a satisfied note 2 user but not a proud one. Apple have me that kinda feeling. This is personal preferences you don't beef to take it. Cheers. ..

That's why. Nowadays ppl especially those vine from Android look at the spec to determine the speed. Wah quad core, Wah 2gb ram must be very fast. But they don't know they are putting a 3k cc engine into a lorry and they thought they are faster than a myvi.
