any idea for ASUS A45VS-VX026H ? I know its EOL model already, bu for slightly above rm2k (RM2030 quoted here in LYN) is it worth it? hows the build quality, battery etc?

actually wanted a FHD screen, but all bundle with i7 now (please assist me if theres i5 @ i3 version), cause i think ill nvr gonna utilize i7 no matter what they say. i3 is enough. 640M keppler is sweeet but i dont mind last gen graphic at least 610M - 635M. got suggestion? tx

This is a very new model, don't think its EOL-ed 
Built quality should be pretty decent, like all the previous A series.
Battery life is expected to be 3-4 hours

haha is it? i saw the design quite long time already if not mistaken, they ramp up the spec for final build i guess before they close up with this design, thats why i thot EOL lol haha.

I assume you are looking at 14". There is hardly any 14" FHD in Malaysia. You have to go 13" (strange but true) or 15" to get FHD. There are a few HD+ (1600x900) 14", but those are business class (Thinkpad, Latitude ...)

Look at the comparable:
Dell
Inspiron 14R (Special Edition), i5-3210M + Nvidia GT640M(28nm Kepler)@RM2049[2.38kg], 4GB, 500GB(7200rpm), W7HP/W8
Dell has much better warranty support in Msia. Upgrade to 3 year on site warranty.

yeah thanks bro yeah problem for FHD they comes with i7... i dont 15.6" actually as long as its not bulky design, but i dont intend to spend more then rm3k 15.6" on 1366x768.. will it be THAT bad? 

Inspiron 14R as u mentioned, i cant find in Dell website, only have 630M for RM1899. maybe need to go lowyat plaza.

For my experience with Dell, they send their technician next business day and fix it. Unless they have parts shortage...

Ultrabay 650M SLI. You could swap your ODD out and put in another GT650M. If driver support is good, my guess is you are looking at performance on par with GT675M.

I see.. then Lenovo is another choice then. yeah sending for warranty sux. it costs time and money and effort, not knowing if the problem will ever be solve (case in point, the Asus thread) haha. Ok time to look at Lenovo models. any suggestion? tx
