Hi Guys, please recommend:

1. Preferred Brand: None but prefer ASUS/Lenovo ;-).
2. Budget: around rm2.5k
3. Usage: for student usage(office + gaming;PES/FIFA/COD/Prototype/Assassin Creed/GTA4).no hardcore photo/video editing.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14/15.6

I would also like brushed metal/aluminium casing if possible.
Backlit keyboard is a bonus.

Phase out doesn't mean they are no longer in stores bro brows.gif
Still, if you can wait, do wait for the upcoming Y400 and Y500 series, they seemed to be pretty promising in terms of specs and price  icon_rolleyes.gif

yeah.. so hard to find nowadays. cry.gif

The Spec you quote is 14R, not the 14R SE smile.gif Make sure to extend the warranty, then negotiate a bit  tongue.gif
In Malaysia, I only buy Dell and Lenovo with on site warranty. Getting old to spend my time going to support centre biggrin.gif

Ultrabay 650M SLI. You could swap your ODD out and put in another GT650M. If driver support is good, my guess is you are looking at performance on par with GT675M.

means one is built the other is additional one. but if wanna buy the laptop only without additional gpu will cost different? unsure.gif

Maybe Lenovo Z480.
or Y480 if budget can extend..
It would be cheaper, but depends Lenovo MY got offer that setup or not..
The Y500 offered for now, include the extra GPU.

Worth it, cheapest notebook with GTX660M laugh.gif

Are you looking just for FHD notebook or need dedicated GPU as well?
There is Acer Iconia W700 with FHD@RM2199, but intel HD4000 only..

1. Preferred Brand : anything(prefer lenovo, less asus, else fine)
2. Budget : around 2k perhaps?
3. Usage : assingment, college&student work, gaming
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : preferred 14 or 15 acceptable
5. an i5 would be enough but if i7 with slightly different price, why not? laugh.gif
6. graphic >gt630. the more the better
7. ODD is not a must
8. prefer win7 over latest win8 :tongue.gif
9. matte screen definitely better than glossy right?

sorry for my lousy preferences sweat.gif
