i still fly my old honeybeev2 once in a while. RC helis are almost a lost art these days, really hard to find parts for anything accept align.  cry.gif

yeah, i agree, rcsmart are always out of stock for most heli parts (except align). some times i feel their stuff are out of stock since forever. might as well just remove it from listing.  sweat.gif

Very true, forever out of stock.

Honeybee v2 is a good 4ch heli. I get to know this heli way way back, I think more than 10-12yrs back. Last time there is a group of KL taiko who always fly this near Uniten field and PJ, I join them few times and they created http://malaysia-rc.com/index.php

No idea where they went now, lost contact.

But the walkera I bought was so new back then with no QC, that thing cant even hover. Servo will twitch hence crashing once lift off.

I flew mini 4ch heli only indoor. Like the WLtoys v911 since no gang to go out for flying I didnt bought any bigger size heli but always wanted too.

Previously you are flying the Trex 450 SE?

Thanks man, usually how much tax will be imposed when you ship it in?
*
No tax if its plastic parts like spur, tail rotor or smaller electronics like fbl controller, servo or tit bits. If big stuff like radio especially FUTABA brand will get tax around 10%.

yup, what i like about it is the absurd simplicity. the 90degree flybar really does teach you a lot more than the typical FP helis.

btw, do you know anyone who have managed to use flysky RX on the honeybee? ch3 & 4 doesn't seem to work correctly for me.

it's quite astonishing really. their stuff are expensive, QC is pretty much dirt mostly. it's all about looks, no function.

esky was a much better brand even though they look cheap.

Wow! glad to see an older version of Esky heli classics.
Mine no longer fly because the spur gear as shown in the picture worn out and causes wobble. Sold it off years ago but i did pull out the gyro and put in on my R/C car steering channel turning into Rate mode gyro for assisted steering when driving straight line.

I have a heli receiver with built in gyro which I tried to put on my r/c car. It doesn't work out so well. I guess this only work with standalone gyro.

What charger you guys can recommend to charge battery?

Preferable all in one (power supply + charger) together?

2B6 charger (2x 50W), at US$35 it was the cheapest of its kind on Banggood 2 years ago. Now no more. Basically 2x Imax B6 chargers in Siamese twin config.

Does its job well enough. Got no complaints.

You'll need a power supply though. For me... since in this hobby you'll be learning to wire up electronics anyway, hooking up a switching power supply to run ur charger should not even be a discouraging factor.

But if I had US$140 to spare, I'd get this 4-port charger:

MJX has some new models for 2018 coming soon....

http://www.mjxrc.net/mobile/goods/bugs-series.html

Bugs 3 Pro, Bugs 5 and Bugs 3 Mini are the most interesting I think. Good for relatively cheap aerial video whereas the B3 Mini looks like a simple but fast flyer.

Bugs 8 Pro is a bit hit and miss though, supposed to be a racer but doesn't have configurable flight board or carbon frame, better off buying a Betaflight compatible brushless micro for the same price.
