i went to few petshops in melaka selling SW fish not many variety.

The one near my house got anemone.,

then north south east west aquarium have mushroom corals, red color.

fish mostly damsels, clown. banded cat shark.

is a dwarf lionfish good for my 1.5ft tank?

After visiting these pet shops, I think I'm going to get 1 angel Fish, a pair of oceallaris, 1 blue damselfish.

Later gonna add an anemone and some polyps, corals.

p.s : here's a close shot of my live rocks, I believe coralline algae is beginning to grow on it.

tank already almost finish cycling, don't get damsel,
is very territorial & will seriously bully any new fish you put in future,
angel fish will nip all your soft coral, choose small tang species like tomini, yellow or blue.
a pair of clown will be nice, introduce them togather.

those maybe polyps or worm but anyhow is ok

lionfish don't take pallets, if u get it than u can't keep small fish
not suitable

lol bro hopefully what you say is true cause i just tested for nitrates and it spike up. last week 0.3 and it seems that its getting higher.

my 3 stripe damsel aka zebby is a coward, i reckon leaving it in wont do so much harm. if it causes problems i will take it out.

i check online,it says tangs need lots of swimming space n the minimum they recommend is 50 gallon, mine is 10 gallons dunno ok or not.

even if i wanted to get tangs n lionfish and what not, the lfs do not have them. i'm stuck with damsels and clowns, and angels.

rclxms.gif you been very patient, thats very good. it will be rewarding.
AKA zebra, haha, once i have 1 yellow tail & this zebra also, gave to my friend to cycle his tank, lol
if is easy to take them out in future than is ok de else next time if you put any fish in you will notice all hide at the corner,
tang need big space else they easily get sick. for your case get either "1" small blue tang, yellow or tomini tang should be fine,
just quarantine it first and give some ick remove treatment before introducing.

lionfish grow too fast.

TANK UPDATE: i think i got algae bloom, there's some spots on my sand growing brown algae and the coloration on my rocks becoming a very dark brown color.

i will introduce the livestock slowly, once my nitrate 0, i put in a pair of clown first, thats a must on my list.

then later tang, angel or any other. damn i like lionfish lol, there's dwarf lionfish if im not mistaken.

kena SW poison d, next time working wanna upgrade to giant tank.

hmmm increase in flow of that spot, a 10-20 % saltwater change with 0 po4 and 0 no4 etc ( distill water mix with premix salt ) might solve the algae smile.gif
btw is your lightiing too strong ???? or in correct k ???

i tmight be the reasons of the algae too smile.gif

great, thats what i wanted to hear. the algae was already growing some time ago, just i think 2 days ago i left my lights on for 12 hours+ forgotten to switch it off and went for classes thats why there's a bit growing on my sand bed.

most probably get the oceallaris, orange ones. dont quite like the maroon cuz they're territorial i think? and i prefer the orange ones.

anemone see first lol. lfs selling for RM40 the anemone looks like ritteri anemone. i've seen clowns host on white mushroom coral looks not bad also.

its been a long wait, going to test my water parameters this friday.
