i skype every single day from day 1 when i use maxis,

what is your skype port setting ?

and did u disable or enable your window firewall or personal firewall in anti virus ?  hmm.gif

skype is really depends on ping & upload speed, so u need to have stable upload speed/lowest ping and also make sure there is no any firewall is on, even though u include skype in allow list,.

effect will be much more smooth in video call,.

guess your area either tower is super congested or tower is haywire/down or maxis is doing something to it  hmm.gif

Last time I use Streamyx which is 384 UL can Skype smoothly, same computer same setup.

One thing I notice is Skype didn't use the whole network capacity, is use only about less than 100kb/s (monitored in mdma)

May I know how much your skype uses with video enabled

i alwasy skype video call everyday to UK,.

UK landline wired broadband internet -> me maxis wireless broadband

my skype video call is always depends on my upload speed,..

the higher upload speed, the better video connection i get,. it can be as high as more than 100KB/s on uploading my video per second though,.

if my upload video is less than 15KB/s, skype video call will be very bad and DC often or Red light in indicator notworthy.gif

Found my power lightning port at the end,..

i plug/ unplug every usb port to find which port is enhance port ( usb 2.0 ),.. as since i dont have lightning port,.

my enhance port usb is located of on front of pc casing,. LOL,.

speed with Raw direct plug

Check sifu Chuah's thread here.

I personally not using 3g router yet, but from what I read it does increase the signal.

I'll get 1 very soon. smile.gif
