OpenVPN works very well.

Depends how your corporate VPN works since Maxis do actually filtered some port and I know some VPN don't works with private IP

iPad adapter is high powered one compared to standard iPhone or those smartphone
Don't kill your fan with that ya

I don't mind how fast the fan is just what step me back is the noise

Guys, if you want a nice ratio between fan performance and noise, get Noctua
You won't regret. Especially when you need your modem inside your bedroom

Last time I tried air cond cool my PC.
Water vapour condensed and almost break my PC.

QoS is the most important factor for your speed
The higher the QoS you can get, the highere the speed you can get

Not important at all unless you want to test the QoS everywhere you visited

HSPA = 14.4
HSPA+ = 21.6 (E353)
HSPA MIMO = 28.8 (E367)
DC-HSPA+ = 42 (E372, MF680)
LTE = 100 (E398, MF820)

I remember someone tried to request higher speed for public IP but end ip no news anymore.

I dont think its possible due to this is some kind of so-called limitation by Maxis

Maxis messed up their corporate unlimited plans
You are on the 68 OR 99

I can even use lowyat as APN
Or connect without APN

To get higher speed, AIM for IP range guys, some IP range perform faster as less user are using the IP block.

E367 -67dBm


MF820D -85dBm

MF820D uses the casing as antenna, I removed the casing for cooling.
If with casing intact, the speed is further improved but drop down within minutes

Waiting Maxis to fix those tower removed issue at my location first
MF820 is extremely hot, without heatsink, the heat can hurt
Maybe I need to get some server fan

MF820 don't support mdma, tried every possible method including the method for MF680.
LTE signal not found at my location :haha:
And it don't have an antenna port.

Huawei E372 is much more stable than MF680 thanks to the low heat

If you plan to modify, go for MF680

If you just prefer the stability and you don't mind the extra speed, go for E372.

MF680 perform faster.
BUT, if not cooled properly, it will slow down.

MF680 purple light Turbo 3G+

Slight disappointment, test later as this time considered as "congested"

Anyone got the latest firmware for MF680?
