How much for the router you bought?
I asked a seller for RM9x,cheap?
But my friend told me that, TP-Link products are not that good.
Easy drop, slower compare with other brands like Aztech,Dlink...

And how about the strainer? How to you get it and how much ?

i brought it at RM 85 ( new ). using it for months now, compare with other brand 3G router, TPLNK have more tweak and detail in setting, and from what i know it support Sonyericsson phone as modem too,. and it is the only router will show you the signal strength on your 3G modem,.. i am using it 24/7 . consider worth for me,.

strainer i buy at RM11.50. is a cheaper way to enhance your signal,. if u have higher budget, get yourself a phone. phone can get signal stronger than usb modem in poor coverages area biggrin.gif

i have 2 of this 3g router...

one for my celcom bb (private use with password and mac filtering) and other one for digi bb prepaid (open access with monitoring). happy with both of them, but sometime cant detect zte MF110 modem. use for nearly 2years.

celcom - attach with e1550 modem.
digi - attach with e153 modem.

many people selling, dont need to buy expensive model, any model that support 7.2 or 10.2Mbps download speed will do,. i choose sonyericsson because is cooler running in long hour like ZTE modem ... as a modem purpose, second hand phone is great option,..

I'm currently using my E1762 with Aztech HW550. Overall it is a good router, nothing to be complained about. tongue.gif

Recently got "infected" too much by these guys here, I'll be getting a TP Link MR3420 to place it permanently at my PJ house and this Aztech HW550 will be transported back to PD to be placed there. So, that I don't need to bring it around when I go back PD, saves so much of life.

Next time just bring back my E1762. rclxms.gif

One thing I like about this router is that it accepts almost all types of modems available on the market.
Does it require firmware update to accept newer types of modems? I know Aztech does but still I have to wait till Aztech releases a list of compatible modems.

Earlier Aztech wasn't even compatible with E1762. doh.gif Luckily with simple steps to update its firmware, it is compatible now and works charmingly. biggrin.gif

how to do that? turn off autorun for modem?
it said unrecognized modem. but when i move to other router, successfully detect and use. but nvm, already have other modem + both digi n celcom not provide speed >3.6mbps. so hsdpa 3.6mbps modem still sufficient.
