QUOTE(aragongon @ Nov 4 2012, 02:31 AM) Ran over a ditch tonight at Mex highway during heavy rain, following a iswara in front and tire burst! Luckily air bags didn't jump out. Have to stop by a rest station to change tire under the rain. Luckily keanutan and others told me that the jack is under passenger seat. Thanks guys!! Sorry to read about the incident. So far no damage on car body. But worry got damage on bottom of the car or suspension, other than bring back SC, how to check? Hopefully I am not the first one who change a PC tire in Malaysia. If I am the first one, the spare tire is damn heavy!! Now I pity the Jazz Hybrid driver, I would have waited for tow truck if I am driving Jazz Hybrid. Most likely the alignment is out |

QUOTE(wankf @ Nov 3 2012, 11:47 AM) Good idea, bro. I could not find the diagnostic port in the engine bay. Anyone know where it is? Thought it was going to be obvious but really can't find it.As for tracking car, just register a mobile sim card and use some phone apps to track it. Unless they drive it into a metal container then nobody able to track the car and start removing all the parts. |

QUOTE(conqu3ror @ Nov 4 2012, 02:20 PM) Wow, Malaysia road suck, lot of hole & ditch... sigh The tire got a hole at the side, the wire inside is torn out during my crawl to nearest rest station. Tire totally unusable. Need to go SC Cheras tomorrow morning and get a new spare tire. Bridgetone Potenza 185/60/R15 is hard to find, all the tire shop at my place said need to order and wait. Any idea how much one would cost? Waste money for white elephant project(AES), why not spend a little bit to repair & maintain the road, help to reduce accident. The tire just puncture or totally unusable anymore? Must caution driving in raining. Also I am wondering does the technician there capable to spot any damage on suspension, drive shaft etc, since PC is a new model? Added on November 5, 2012, 12:26 amDo you think the PC TRD got their TRD suspension set? If it is, then extra RM6990 could be worth buying? Here is another pretty cool gadget for our PC,
http://www.lelong.com.my/scangauge-ii-obd-...7-01-Sale-I.htm I might get it for my PC once I got it. Can help to monitor our PC most vital systems and provide the kind of real-time information it have been missing. Features include more than 15 built-in digital gauges, 5 sets of trip data and an easy-to-use Scan Tool that shows both set and pending trouble codes. It come along with a detachable six foot cable cord. It can check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and if found, can display how many there are and the Trouble Codes themselves. Using the internet or repair manuals, these can be translated to the failed component and repairs can be made. It provides real-time gauges to show you what is going on “under the hood” so you can catch issues early before they become more expensive problems. Well, I think it a good gadget to have that only cost RM550 which I love to have one. So those SC can't cheat or bullshit me any more. What is your thought, guys?? US Toyota are using 175/65R15 Original Equipment Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02 and for Prius c Four factory option size tire is a 195/50R16. Wonder we can change it to those size or not?? and any different feeling on those size? This post has been edited by wankf: Nov 5 2012, 09:21 AM |

But fc very high Personally for PC, you won't feel the power all becoz of eCVT, due to it is not eco/fuel save to have sudden boost/pick up. I live in Cheras which have plenty of hills, but I can easily accelerate on hill & cut across other cars whenever I want. |

Hi all,
Currently I'm using Toyota SEG 1.6M year 1999, since it is quite old, there are lot of noise in cabin, wear and tear everywhere, and not a comfortable ride enough for me. So, I went to test drive 5 cars recently, H City, H jazz Hybrid, Vios, Prius C and Elantra. Jazz and Elantra already dropped from the list. So right now I am considering either: 1. Prius C (97k) 2. Vios G Limited (88k) 3. H City E (91k) The main use of the car will be: 1. my everyday car to work at 10km distance with no traffic jam (in Kulim, Kedah) 2. once in a month I travels from Kulim to Kota Bharu thru Grik 3. once in a couple of monthI travels Kulim-KL thru PLUS highway Cabin and trunk space is not a factor of choosing between those 3 cars. I am ok with Prius C space. Regarding FC, also not a real factor, just a bonus for me if choosing a PC, since 9k cheaper for Vios OTR price compare to PC, equal to fuel saving for about 7 yrs of using PC. Right now I really like PC, but the only concern is that, whether it is suitable for me to use it for travel between Kulim to KB, thru Gerik. The road in Gerik/Jeli is quite tough, lot of sharp corner, uphill and downhill. I need a very good acceleration car between 70-100kph to overtake slow lorry during uphill. During test drive, I realize PC have good acceleration from static but I didn't manage to try acceleration at high speed and during climbing uphill. Need you guys to share your experience driving this during uphill like cameron, karak highway, or Gerik. Instead of acceleration during climbing uphill, other factors I'm looking for: - A stable car at cornering around speed of 80-90kph. - A comfortable and safe car for my family for long distance travel (not bumpy, smooth suspension, low wind/tires/engine noise in cabin) Do you think I should go for PC instead of Vios or City taking into account the above factors? Is PC on par with Vios regarding uphill accelerate, noise insulation, and comfort ride? What I like about PC compare to vios/city: 1. hi tech, 7 or 9 airbags and keyless. 2. CBU from Japan (IMO the quality is better from CKD, no? 3. no tax for hybrid cars, the SA told me, the original price is almost the same as camry if including tax 4. my wife like it, compact, easy to drive and park 5. The exterior looks is superb, sporty, aerodynamic. Not a dugong look like vios. Interior also better compare to vios IMO. 6. it is fun to see 20-30km/l in the MID after a journey. 7. got TRC and VSC compare to Vios. |

QUOTE(ZaRR @ Nov 5 2012, 07:44 PM) Hi all, Hi I guess you have done all your study & already decide to go for PC. Honestly, if you don't mind the boot space, certainly PC is better then Vios in every aspect. Think again due to tax exempted, you are buying a premium car at a lower cost. I don't think Malaysia car will totally tax exempted in short term (most probably progressively reduce) Currently I'm using Toyota SEG 1.6M year 1999, since it is quite old, there are lot of noise in cabin, wear and tear everywhere, and not a comfortable ride enough for me.
