I've tried both permanon and carpro reload. Based on my experience, carpro reload last longer than permanon. To me I feel that permanon last only less than a week (although it claims to last months). Carpro reload last about 2 weeks (i think it claims to last longer). As for dirt washing off easily with water spray by hose, carpro reload peforms much better than permanon. This is just my personal experience  and opinion in using the 2 products. No commission received and no harm intended.  biggrin.gif
Where did u get the Carpro Reload and how much? I saw it online selling for RM85. Thks.

I just tried fitting an existing light weight rim from my other car. The original rim is still around.

Your tyre selection with the stock rim won't be any problem, however going to 65 profile tyre from original 60 profile will effect your speed and odo reading.

That is exactly what I want, given that the speedo is already too fast on stock tyre, by upsizing the tyre, I can bring back the speed closer to "actual" speed which I think give wrong ODO reading as well.

If I'm not wrong, the original offset of the stock rim should be +45

Original wheel in other market is +40 offset and 5 width, but here we got +45 offset with 6.5 width.

There are alot of coating available in the market, but most don't last, or coat already cannot wax, have to use special car shampoo to wash, else will remove the coat, which I think quite troublesome.

For cheapest best effect is to wash ur car clean, get some good wax and apply a few layers. Will stay for mths and if it's off, u can do it again.

My current car have not been wash for 3 mths, the dust and stain is thick, but if I wipe it, it will still be shiny.

I think the +40 offset should be steel rims, I might be wrong.

Hi bro, i did gzox glass coat and am really satisfied with it. Dirt washes off easily. My car is white, so i cant stand it when it gets dirty..a bit pricy but i think its good...wanted to do sierra glow..but based on others feedback it doesn't last long...but i suggest you do some research first before you commit...hope this helps.

Congrats timeonce & colinkit on your new ride!  rclxms.gif

Keep it clean by washing everyday. No lar kidding only  tongue.gif. I saw a product called Permanon. It is suppose to help dirt not to bond to the car so easily. Personally, I haven't tried it.
*
i use permanon for my orange C .. mine is from WAXSON cost rm168 . this product u have to use according to their method for long last .. mine after the first apply can last for 1 month and then just wash and reapply again . first application took me about 2 hours the following only need 30 minutes .. and yes after the apllication less dirt on the car and weekly washing car become easier ..

Thanks skng74 ,

wow.. will try the ultimate shine. ^^ I clock more than 700km in 3 days.. and its very reliable and save fuel. Manage to get 27.6km/l for my best record temporary. Will try to boost it further more ^^

For wind noise its acceptable for me. Think is because the engine is too silent compare to normal car that when it start to rev and go on high speed you can hear other sound. Bet other car is also same but their engine noise override other noise.

Just one scary thing about PC. When you do / parking. ^^ and u can't see car behind.. its pretty dangerous esp a big MPV park beside u and block other ppl view on ur car reversing ^^ .

Saw a silver PC near WD today. ^^ Does it belong to any member of LYN ^^ . As i drove side by side till the junction ^^

Added on September 17, 2012, 9:35 pmFor FC, i think best way is drive it normally and u get better FC ^^ . Eco game is so tempting to play each day and mountain road is fun as well in PC. Wonder why ppl say the handling is no good when it turn to where u want the tires and car to be . As sharp corner is a joy in PC at least for me. ^^ As maintain 80kmph in and out of corner and the same speed all throughout highway.

agreed with u bro.. the sound compare to others car is the engine sound which cover all the wind noise .. same problem with mine when reversing parking cool2.gif i try onec driving at 140km/H and still getting 21.5km/L on the 5 minutes consumption .. handling is above vios less comfort then altis for me ..

Mine comes with the optional Toyota DVD player. Without the guided line it will be tricky at first but you'll get use to it after awhile. The only time the camera is really helpful when parking at tight spot and when you cant see anything behind. biggrin.gif

Just test drive this Prius C and Vios in Bukit Jalil on Sunday. I must say the Prius C is miles better than Vios. Just want to ask some questions about this car from you ppl who are alredi driving it:

1) There's 3 modes of driving with this car. What happens if 1 mode spoil?
2) How do you know which mode to drive when in Klang Valley area or outstation?
3) Spare Tyre leaking water. What is that about?

to ericpires,

1) One mode spoil ah.. not sure. But mostly u can drive at normal mode is more than enough. Can go back to Toyota and service anytime. My sister Prius got Power, Eco and EV mode. So far no problem with mode switching

2) See which one you prefer. I would recommend normal mode always as seem eco mode will map your throttle down alot and you need to press alot when you need to drive faster.

3) Meaning got water in the spare tires compartment. Not all PC had this problem. But think UMW Toyota will sort it out as still in warranty.
