Any suggestion what to add on ?
Wow, in V2 ya. After going thru the top page. You got 2 spoiler for service center listing. Maybe you can change 1 to PC gathering venue and date. So members can view up coming events or talk about past events. Just a suggestion though.

To bryanhee, Congrats mate. Remember update us the video ya ^^

Anyone know how much PS for our potenza tires ?

Got my car yesterday and clock in 420km mileage d. First review.. the car is very good indeed. But as most of owners complaint.. when its 110kmph wind noise is super loud ^^ . And outside noise is apparent inside. Thinking of getting some noise insulation for the PC.

Anyone with any problem with air con ? As i can smell outside smell when trailing truck.. TT..
*
When you received your car usually the pressure is set high and feels like driving off road. Look at the side of the driver door and you would see the recommended tyre pressure. Then go up a bar/psi to find the sweet spot. Always check the pressure when the tyre is cold.

Anyone done antitrust to the under carriage? Need some review on it please. hmm.gif

BTW, congrats to timeonce & colinkit upon receiving your PC's. thumbup.gif

Anyone got the optional Toyota DVD player ? As i found the reverse camera is quite dangerous as seem very near but its not ^^ .
*
Mine comes with the optional Toyota DVD player. Without the guided line it will be tricky at first but you'll get use to it after awhile. The only time the camera is really helpful when parking at tight spot and when you cant see anything behind. biggrin.gif

Yup. I also got the DVD-AVN and i found that the reverse camera without guideline is a bit tricky. My camera shows that is still quite far but actually it is already very close. Sometimes after parking my car, i feel that i parked too close to the car behind. Sometimes afraid the car behind can hit me if the driver not skillful enough when driving out. :-p
*
QUOTE(timeonce @ Sep 18 2012, 08:31 PM)
Totally agree with what you say gfwong. Hardest part is when the object behind is tall and hard to estimate distance ^^
*
Agreed with gfwong & timeonce. But given time & practice eventually make it easier to park the pc.

Expressway's rest area sounds good! PLUS Sungai Buloh rest area with overhead bridge restaurants ? We can park at both sides

Maybe Geng Corner - Upin Ipin @ Section 13 Shah Alam or Ulam Desa @ Bukit Jelutong (both places ample of parking and bright)

Timeonce...
Already 2000km+++... Even bfore 1k service speed up 120kph..SA said drive like normal car & no need running in...

From my observation..based on PC & my mpv...we can get good FC if maintain traveling 100-120kph... If 60-90kph but with highly traffic jam..normally 19++km/L... but good enough..my mpv is 7.8km/L...huhu
Actually my wife used PC daily between SJ & SA...and when use it at nights n weekend for long run/distance..so the fc increase to 21km/L...
*
Well waiDEE, all pc owners should be very happy driving it by now. As for my experience, for the pc is rm60 for a week compare to my old car rm100 for a week.

I actually planning to do so, I had even bought the cable.

By the way, I found a WEIRD situation:

when i finish my journey, my battery has about 5 to 7 bar of power level, then i just off my car, lock and leave . Later when i come back to start it (less than 2 hour), the battery has 3 bar left, can't even start EV mode as low battery warning is given.

Did anyone of you experience that? Is it normal?
*
Better get it check bro, maybe there is a power leakage somewhere in the PC. Never encountered that problem from my PC hmm.gif

Anyone knows which Service Center is best serve for Prius C in Klang Valley? Thx.

Nearest to where you stay or work should be something to consider first. Then the SA who will serve you, all back to sales after service. I guess

QUOTE(RM1 @ Oct 3 2012, 09:22 AM)
Hello all PC owners,

I dun own one but my wife just got hers on Saturday.  She's not the forum type of person, so here I am on her behalf.

Color: Aqua Blue
Location: Penang Island.
Tinting Option: Chose a 8mil security tint with 98% IR rejection, 45% light transmissivity.  Front windshield, I can't remember what it was.  UMW Toyota charges RM1400.  Tinting done by SPEED in Jelutong.
Head Unit: Stock OEM Pioneer with Bluetooth
Booking: Early April and collected the car End September.

The first thing I like to change is the horn cos it sounds lame as it uses only 1 horn.  But to access it, I dun think my wife will allow me to remove the top panel.

For myself, I own a Corolla SEG and has been with me for 16 years.  It's still in very good condition, giving me 15 to 16km/L with a manual tranny.
*
Welcome on board bro. Same here, car for wifey. Modification, upkeep & foruming done by me.

QUOTE(yashin @ Oct 3 2012, 05:36 PM)
Getting my peal white prius c in the next few days (i hope). What is a good tint for it?  Not too expensive, but keep out lots of heat.  How much should i spend for a decent tint? SA offered me cheap one RM900. Sorry, never bought tint before so not sure. Thanks.

QUOTE(RM1 @ Oct 3 2012, 10:15 AM)

Added on October 3, 2012, 10:24 amI forgot, let me contribute a little info on the PC.

It uses the spark plug from Denso, FK16r-a8.  Info on this is hard to get in Google but I found that the "F" means Iridium.  There is also a "S" which I think has a longer lifespan and also Iridium.  "K" means 14mm thread size. Gap is 0.8mm.  I've told my wife to reject any plug changes from UMW SC for at least 100k km in her schedules services.

It would not be compatible with IK16 as this uses the gap of 1.1mm.  The older Prius that uses the 1.5L engine (which the PC also uses) recommends the IK16.  I.e, IK16 not to be used in PC.

QUOTE(timeonce @ Oct 3 2012, 11:10 AM)
to RM1,

Thanks for sharing. Does this means our PC spark plug will last 100k km ?

*
If i'm not mistaken iridium spark plug should last up to 100k. Not like a normal spark plug

To timeonce & kiding.

Eventhough the iridium spark plug is damn expensive, just think about the comparison to a normal spark plug. How many times do you change a normal spark plug in a 100k mileage in order to get the best combustion for every gas burned. Well we only spend a bit more every 100k.

The PC horn really needs a make over. Thinking of getting it change soon, either go for waiDEE's or RM1's horn choice or maybe there are other option in the market.

Haven't tried that yet but looking at the boot space the golf bag needs to be slanting in order to go into the boot. doh.gif
Don't want to put the bag in the back seat. Will try and see how it goes then .....

Bro...no matter how high FC  you achieved...in total you refuel petrol after 600++km...which mean you refuel back for 30-33L out of 36L tank... As i said avg we get is 20++km/L...

Otherwise...did anyone manage to get more than 700km with fulltank..??! or 900++km...then i need to learn from them...
*
Bro waiDEE and other PC owners, as per my observation using the PC. 1st time fill up full tank of petrol on 3/9/12 (paid by the salesman), manage to get 700++km. 2nd time fill up RM60 petrol on 9/9/12, manage to get 650++km. 3rd time time fill up RM60 petrol on 16/9/12, manage to get 650++km. And every time the petrol indicator blinks, I will put in RM60 worth of petrol and the mileage I get 650++km. So far I've been refueling every Sunday or once a week. I drive the PC like a normal car and set the eco mode on all the time. Overall still better than my old car. thumbup.gif

Captor vs Cobra Connex

which one is better?  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  hmm.gif
*
2 things you have take into consideration bro.

1. Self monitoring - 1 time charge
2. Aided monitoring - recurring charge

Back to your question, I'd say go for cobra connex. But there will be a yearly fee imposed.

Agreed. Today my 6th time refuelling and still achieved around 600++km per full tank. I dont quite monitor the FC but rather the total mileage per full tank refueling.

Tq

Same here bro, I just monitor total mileage per rm60 tank of petrol.
