Can't tell what it is. Looks like canare l4e6s? If you want to customize the 4 pin xlr you can also. Just use multimeter to find the pins

Actually that is 4 pin din. And the d1010 uses mini din like mouse connector.

BTW fan not needed on heatsink. Transistors perform differently at different temperature. Let it warm up naturally.

Haven't recabled the speakers yet? You can get some silver wires, terminate to RCA on one end and bare wire on the other. Brightens up the speaker brows.gif

I got the Sabre DAC and it made the speakers a bit brighter already. Scared it'll be too bright hmm. Any recommended cable?

Wow, Canare l4e6s? It sucks... It made it sound overly bright.

If you google, l4e6s is actually for microphone purpose. I used to had l4e6s and ditch them for Belden.

Its some ordinary Belden. I used 1311A for my car before I sold it, but as I remember (if I remembered it correctly), this is the speaker cable, not those used for signal cable.

Are you bluetooth-ing it from your iPhone? brows.gif The speakers prioritize bluetooth as #1 source and line in as #2. You can do the following:

#1 - Hook up sound card to Speaker (set volume to low)
#2 - Connect any BT device to the speaker via BT

You can play music from your phone, it goes through a very high quality BT receiver that you would not likely to be able to tell a difference from line in. When you want to listen to whatever from your PC, disable BT from your phone and viola! You now have the speakers automatically connected to the PC biggrin.gif

The Bluetooth connection is reserved for when I am cooking or at the loo.. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif I am still testing it.. The sound is so much better that any speakers I tried especially the BOSE speakers... All in all, I am pretty stoned now. thumbup.gif All I need is some beer or alcohol and get drunk together with some musics... rclxm9.gif

I got a question, do I need to direct my fan towards the fin at the back of the speakers? Mine seems to run a bit warm. Will it damage the speakers if I did not direct my fan towards it?

Another owner Dennis is worried of his D1080-IV as well. Don't worry about it, you don't need a fan or anything on it. In fact when the transistor warms up the speaker should sound better. This also applies to tube amps

BOSE = Buy Other Sound Equipment
