is depend on sub offer rca/minijack output or not, in another way round some powered speaker also come with subwoofer out/audio output from speaker itself, so it can connect to subwoofer by such a way connection

or another common way is using y connector to connect both subwoofer and speaker, this kind of connection did not require speaker/sub come with audio output.

that not such a thing a sub only for a certain system, unless it using unique connector, else just in case of sound matching or not, and crossover blar blar~

btw while come to subwoofer, with around 1.5K budget....quite plenty of choice there.

i also considering should i add a subwoofer to my current setup...

or just upgrade to better speaker...with larger driver....to provide more bass...

is it m50w is normal come with type a plug? coz mine is like that~

how about change cable to test ? since it quite a common cable come with printer/dvd player

i owned m50w, s530d, aego m....
but personally favor aego m the most, much comfort to my ear(for long time listening) good soundstage if placed well
m50w is alright, build quality is good, but its sound signature not my cup of tea
s530d is loudest among them, but overall in sound quality not a level compared to above 2.

focal xs book， initially want buy aktimate mini...but during that time, its price already bump to somewhere i cant afford..haha
