although i love the sound but seriously the QC is like near to none; my d1080iv have this rattling problem i sent to rma after changing the whole tweeter the problem is still there i don know what to do anymore, i guess you get what you pay for huh

Hi guys.. new here .. willing to try out this China product.

Im using Edifier HD5000PRO now.

Thinking of getting another better 5.1 for my TV ..., I don't like the ideal of getting dedicated home theater mainly because of the complication in setting up with PC as main source, as I don't use Blu-ray player or DVD player, everything will be played from PC, including audio.

I have 3 choice now after reading lots of review :

Edifier S550, build quality is great and have upstanding review from everywhere.
HiVi M20 5.1 - where's review are hard to find and lack of information
Hivi M60 5.1 - only few review found, but in-depth review is lacking

In terms of pricing S550 and M20 are same, while M60 are higher ahead with extra 50% price.

How do you guys rate these 5.1 speakers? I will be using it mainly for Movie and some music, and I have a room with adequate space.

Also, how do you guys compare the speakers of S550 and M20/M60 with their following brethren, in term of SQ, soundstage..etc?:
M50 (both speakers and sub looks 100% identical to M20 5.1)
M200Mk2
T200B
X4 ( I know no way those cheap 5.1 speakers can even come close, but still like to compare )
1080-IV


I know combination of H5 + H10 is the best of all, but the price are beyond my allocated budget

We will request to change the whole speaker for you.

Hivi is also replacing the whole x4 for another customer. We have some hiccups with order volume and RMA so we need time to figure out an equilibrium. For Hivi this is quite tough but for other brands that we have they are easy to manage. Mostly we just replace the whole thing. The reason is as follow:

There are a ton of models and different models may have different problems that we are not aware of. Hivi only comes with repair warranty and exchange is only when repair cannot be made.

If anybody has any problems with their product, and we don't care what it is, just bring it back to us as long as you bought it from an authorized retailer. Don't even bother bringing it back to the dealer. They can't fix your problem, and sometimes they don't even tell us there is Rma waiting until a week later.

Currently we have noted the following problems

M50W - Some amps will fail prematurely. Sudden death is the most common. We will replace the fuse and if it cannot be fixed we will replace the whole amp

D1080-IV - odd rattling. Don't know what is the cause, we will request for full replacement.

Sorry we cannot do that. If the speaker was new we could but the other speaker has been used regardless of how many days. Since one speaker will be replaced with a new one, we can only allow 50% full credit for an upgrade but user will have an extra x4 playing mono...maybe can use as center speaker

Passed by Publika today and try to audition M50W at Wellcom PC but they are no more carry this speaker...

Any other place to audition this M50W speaker ? Cyntrix place is far lar, very few chance go there.

Is M50W bass good and shake the room like Logitech Z623 ? I'm abit basshead but also like crisp audio.

The best bass is like so far is Edifier S550.... and Logitech Z906 come second. Both is them cost like 1k but not crisp audio type.

keyoke im planning to get Hivi H4 end of this month. can it be connected to 3.5mm audio jack or need a left right line out jack? kinda curious as hardly can find any set up pic. using el cheapo usb sound blaster 5.1 sound card.

Hivi h4 output mono rca. So u need mono to mono rca cable.

If ur sound card don't have rca input u will need Y spilter converter cable link 2 mono rca to 3.5mm aux
