hey,i have a question,

i just bought this laptop,when i check the warranty status it says my warranty start on 9-11-2012 and end on 8-11-2013 but what i was told by a seller it is 2years warranty.

And may i know, when the warranty should start?is it when we key in the information on lenovo website?fyi, i bought this laptop today

yup it is lenovo base warranty
after 4weeks check back again and u will see ur warranty is extend to 2years
dont worry..lenovo take time to settle this

btw how ur wifi signal strenght?did u face the problem too

i compared with my previous laptop running on window 7 ultimate and definitely more strength than y500

myotgo, may I know the graphics setting for the NFS Most Wanted (the latest one right?) .

FPS Min: 14 to max 21 may not seem playable. Maybe u set at the ultra settings?

me too..but after i open cpuz,hwmonitor software..then my touchpad not working
after restart get the error and touchpd working properly again

mybe not compatible with wind8

to be honest, i couldnt understand sory

its not a big problem rite?i just shut down and start it back and it works as usual

Computer hardware need software drivers so that Operating System (Microsoft Windows) know how to deal with the hardware.

Your screen shot show that a driver is causing a problem. (mt7118vu .... )
That driver is used by WiMax (you know, the broadband service by Yes, P1 ...) adapter (a piece of microchip) manufactured by Mediatek.
Unless your Y500 has this adapter, this driver should not be active at all.
Go to control panel, device manager. Do you see any yellow (?) or (!) ?

Good. Now right click on the entry with the yellow (!), select properties.
The 1st tab is the "General" tab, and it will give you a general description of the problem.
Click on the tab "Driver". Then select "driver details". Do you see the "mt7118vu ..."?
If yes, we have locate the problem.
I am pretty sure Y500 in Malaysia don't have Wimax built in (anyone can confirm)?
If we are sure, then you have 2 choice:
1. Disable the driver. Click "Disable".
2. Uninstall the driver. Click "Uninstall".

I suspect this driver get in there because Lenovo is doing a disk image install of OS from a Y500 that may have WiMax.

i set up for full hd resolution 1920 x 1080 and all in high setting

Thanks bro..and yes I noticed that the chinese review was tested on 1366 x 768 resolution.

ya,but they re testing in 15-3210 only
i7-3630 should be better
hope you can test crysis 2,cod 9 as in [ultra ,direct 11,and 1920*1080]
