QUOTE(ThisIsBoletaria @ Sep 25 2012, 02:27 PM) Thanks for the answers. Logically speaking, there should not be any fundamental difference between the T and TX in terms of both hardware and software (please correct me if i am wrong). The only difference would be whether the battery is removable or not. Any idea if any root methods etc. willl be cross compatible between the T and TX? Thus, if there is a root method, boot unlocker, or Custom ROM, logically speaking, it should be cross compatible between both models. //SheZZaR |

QUOTE(ckchan @ Sep 25 2012, 04:40 PM) Each region of the world receives either the T or the TX, based on whatever logic Sony uses to decide these things. The recent reviews are from European and maybe US sites, both of which only receive the T variant.PS. For reference, Malaysia is slated to receive the TX. Hi. Hope anyone can answer me. I'm just curious. Whenever I see blog from soyacincau, or many other blogs, even the Lowyat website front page, they will say "Sony has confirmed this, Sony Malaysia has confirmed that", I am curious to know where did sony Sony actually says it? I'm not doubting or anything, I just want to know the primary source. Is it the inside information for the retailers that were not announced publicly, or is it anywhere in the official website (which I can't seem to find), etc.
Example, the announcement of Xperia T, the primary source was from Berlin IFA 2012, but when it comes to what model will be released in Malaysia, where can I find the primary source? thanks. |

Is it the inside information for the retailers that were not announced publicly, or is it anywhere in the official website (which I can't seem to find), etc. IMHO, there are two sources where information like this can be obtained. (1) is tru insider information of people working in Sony Mobile Malaysia Division. Reason being they would probably have product training and an overview of what products will be launching, which product to Malaysia and its ETA. The second source would probably from official press releases by Sony Malaysia. However, given that Sony Malaysia have not issued any press release on the models, i would probably think that the source would be from (1).Example, the announcement of Xperia T, the primary source was from Berlin IFA 2012, but when it comes to what model will be released in Malaysia, where can I find the primary source? thanks. //SheZZaR This post has been edited by Shezzar: Sep 28 2012, 11:30 AM |

i think sony is trying to catch up on the smartphone market by doing a little too much this year. many models are released this year, with more or less the same spec... there are already 2 flagship models released this year, xperia s and xperia ion. the xperia t/tx will be their 3rd flagship model this year, which if compared side by side, does not differ that much from xperia ion (spec wise)... if sony release models too soon, i think it will be like competing with their own models rather than compete with other manufacturer.
just my 2 cents Added on October 3, 2012, 11:08 amhaha... the user manual is out http://minus.com/lcFmGpoMsdJZi can learn to use the phone prior to its release This post has been edited by ckchan: Oct 3 2012, 11:08 AM |

QUOTE(Mr.CoMoT @ Oct 3 2012, 01:49 PM) well, for me, software update is not really a big deal as long as the manufacturer still release and support them. this is the new flagship model for sony and i am quite confident there will be JB update. Also, using ICS now and updating it to JB will often gives us a feeling of having a new phone to experience (as i have recently updated my GB to ICS, it really feels like a new phone)my concern is the hardware though. by the time it release (god knows when), the spec might really looks dated... |

Sony said it will be launch "soon" about a month ago during IFA. but till now, i think only china and taiwan are launched (for TX) Added on October 4, 2012, 10:15 am QUOTE(xFr3sHx @ Oct 4 2012, 02:39 AM) "soon"...This post has been edited by ckchan: Oct 4 2012, 10:15 AM |

I think T/TX was announced about a month ago. we still dun hv availability date. in this time and age, smartphone competition is so fierce, a new flagship get overrun by competition in about 3 month. T and TX is already losing a month sales.
Sony should get its act right with product announcement. perception is important. using dual core and already a month waiting is not a good start for Sony. much like Motorola and Nokia, Sony is another old world phone company trying to catch up and still catching up. |
