Sony Xperia T: H2 flagship with 4.6-inch HD display and 13MP camera

user posted image

Sony Mobile’s H2 flagship is clearly the Sony Xperia T (LT30p). Most of the marketing spend will be focused on this model and will feature in the upcoming James Bond film, Skyfall. The Xperia T will come with a 4.55-inch (720 x 1280) high resolution display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8260A chipset with 1.5GHz dual-core processor and Adreno 225 GPU. Note that this is not the same as the Snapdragon S3 MSM8260 chipset found in the Xperia S.

The Xperia T will come with 16GB internal memory (2.5 GB of firmware, 2 GB of phone memory and 10.8 GB for media) but will support a microSD memory card. It has a 13MP camera capable of 1080p video and front camera capable of 720p video. Other features include NFC, MHL (the HDMI adaptor will be sold separately) and a 1850mAh capacity battery. Sony will also be selling a Xperia T TV Dock to connect the handset to a television.

The Sony Xperia T has dimensions of 129.4 x 67.3 x 9.35 mm and will weigh 139 grams. Sony says that the handset will be available globally in the next few weeks. It will come in three colours (black, silver and white).

Sony Xperia TX: Think Xperia T with S4 Snapdragon and removable battery

user posted image

Sony Mobile’s new flagship is the Xperia T (LT30p ‘Mint’), but it confirmed that in certain markets Sony will instead launch the Xperia TX (LT29i ‘Hayabusa’). This is exactly what we previously speculated given the very close proximity in terms of specifications between the two handsets.

The Xperia TX will come with a 28nm Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8260A chipset (1.5GHz dual-core with Adreno 225 GPU) found in the Xperia T.

The Xperia TX will also have a removable 1750mAh battery good for 6 hours and 40 minutes of GSM talk time. The Xperia T will have a higher capacity (1850mAh) embedded battery. In terms of size the Sony Xperia TX has dimensions of 131 x 68.6 x 8.6 mm and will weigh 127 grams. This makes it both thinner and lighter than the Xperia T which has dimensions of 129.4 x 67.3 x 9.35 mm and will weigh 139 grams.

Apart from these differences, the handset will feature the same 4.55-inch (720 x 1280) high resolution display, 16GB internal memory (2.5 GB of firmware, 2 GB of phone memory and 10.8 GB for media), microSD, micro SIM, 13MP camera, 1.3MP front camera, PlayStation Certification, NFC and MHL. The Sony Xperia TX will be available in three colours (black, pink and white) when it launches in select markets.

The Sony Xperia T has only just been announced, but there's already unboxing video for the handset.

Why not? I know spec wise S3 better. But not all.

Power consumption, heat.

Don't feel there is heat whenever data is on? Luckily for me I'm prepaid user and I use WiFi.

Still need to test before I make my decision, speaker quality and so on

Same as iPhone? Rectangle design?

If Apple new iPhone the new design as previous, it's a biggest fail phone in term design.

Well if they go curve body? Sony sue them back hahaha..

XPERIA T bigger and non removable battery
non-Asian country.

XPERIA TX will be Asian model, thinner slightly less juice on the battery and removable.

TX meant for Asian market. TX is thinner, lighter, removable battery. But less juice on the battery compare with the T
