But the main thing is, I thought Electrical engineering course kinda hard to move along OnG Lucrative? 20 hours is crazy.
Longest for me was 14-15 hours. Worst part is we were all sleeping on the deck at night, and the afternoon heat, too many of us to have shelter. Got really tanned. QUOTE(echobrainproject @ Dec 3 2012, 04:13 PM) 20 hours is crazy. Helicopter crash lands in North Sea,19 people rescued: British coast guardLongest for me was 14-15 hours. Worst part is we were all sleeping on the deck at night, and the afternoon heat, too many of us to have shelter. Got really tanned. when? A Super Puma EC 225 helicopter used by CHC Helicopter Corp., to transport workers to oil rigs in the North Sea. — Eurocraft photo Published on October 23, 2012 The Associated Press A helicopter ferrying workers from an offshore oil rig crash landed in the North Sea on Monday, British coast guards said, adding that all 19 people aboard had been rescued. The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said in a statement that the Super Puma aircraft went down on its way back from a Total SA-operated rig about 50 kilometres southwest of the Shetland Islands, a Scottish archipelago deep in the North Sea. The CHC Helicopter Corp.-operated aircraft was still floating on the surface of the water when all its 19 occupants were picked up from their life raft and brought aboard a nearby tanker, the coast guards, said. They were later flown to the Orkney Islands, a little further south. Energy companies regularly use helicopters to move their workers to and from the offshore platforms that dot the North Sea, a vast and often unsettled body of water which lies between Britain and Scandinavia. Safety has long been a concern and Super Puma aircraft have come under particular scrutiny following a series of accidents and near-misses. Earlier this year, air operator Bond Aviation Group suspended some of its flights after a Super Puma crash landed in the North Sea. In April 2009, 16 people died when a Super Puma en route to the Scottish city of Aberdeen plunged into the sea when its gearbox failed. Only months before, another Super Puma had gone down over the North Sea — although in that case 18 people were rescued with only minor injuries. Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond said in a statement that the latest incident raised “understandable concerns” which he hoped would be cleared up by an investigation. Union official Jake Molloy echoed the statement. “We need to provide assurances — not just to the workers but to their families — that the primary means of transporting them to and from work is safe,” he said. http://news.stv.tv/north/99245-super-puma-...from-north-sea/ http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/video/2012...ter-crash-video http://www.thetelegram.com/Business/2012-1...h-coast-guard/1 |

Jack up rig tilts at Jurong Shipyard...Can anyone share what is the exact cause of this incident?
www.upstreamonline.com/live/article1300047.ece "The accident occurred Monday morning when one of the three legs of a jack-up rig failed, causing the rig to tilt to one side." One leg has 3 jacking houses on each chord...Is the statement means that all jacking gears on that leg failed?... This post has been edited by meonkutu11: Dec 4 2012, 09:42 AM |

For about last 6 months, I am handling Rainbow project as project scheduler where Celcom and DiGi will sharing the structure to reduce the cost plus enhance the profit. I coordinate two coordinator(one for Celcom and one for DiGi). The project still in progress. For about one to two months, I am on training to replacing PM/IM for Rainbow(that's what my PM said not sure he is playing me or he is really want to test me). I been into DiGi IM and PM meeting, either daily or weekly. For O&G, I do not really have any ideas for Telco. I am a quick learner and adaptable to environment and situation. I really would like to go to O&G for career change to a bigger and wider platform to grow my self. It's very appreciated if anyone can help. |

QUOTE(axreus @ Dec 4 2012, 02:01 PM) Last time I am working as project engineer SPDH project for DiGi using SIAE equipment. My scope is to control and coordinate site survey, installation, acceptance and troubleshooting for link installation. The project is have not finish until not. I still working on it. It seems that you have been doing project management. There are positions such as project engineer, planner and coordinator. You can give them a try should there are vacancies. I am not sure if there is a project engineer for telecom packages. For about last 6 months, I am handling Rainbow project as project scheduler where Celcom and DiGi will sharing the structure to reduce the cost plus enhance the profit. BTW, for project engineer/planner/coordinator, software knowledge like P6 or MS Project is highly required. |
