Scan your documents and save them online in your email or Google Documents. You can have them printed in case of an emergency.

Packing Unnecessary ItemsInstead of stuffing what you think is necessary during your trip, take some time to plan your packing list. Instead of asking what you think you’ll need, ask what items you can do without and eliminate them from the list. Take into consideration the amount of shopping you’ll be doing at the shopping destination. Where will you find space for the things you buy while holidaying.

Not Planning Your BudgetIt’s not enough that you have a vague idea on how much you will be spending at the holiday destination. Be specific on what you’ll spending on, apart from fixed costs like flight tickets. Work out a daily or weekly budget. Once you’ve set a budget, don’t exceed it,
4)
Keeping All Your Money in One PlaceDo you plan to carry all your cash in your wallet or handbag? Think again. Stash away money in different spots, even some in your socks etc. You’ll still have something to fall back on in case you get robbed or your wallet goes missing.
5)
Not Buying Travel InsuranceYou may think everything will be going well during your travels. Better be safe than sorry. What if you fall seriously ill and need special medical treatment? What if you lose your baggage or money. Have you prepared yourself for these eventualities? Talk to a travel insurance agent to consider how you can adequately cover yourself while travelling.
