- dont forget to take picture of your luggage storage box number ( eg, in train station etc ). saving you the hassle of looking up for it later on .
- bring a bottle with you, refill it with tap water. save some money. in some developed countries, tap water is safe to drink.
- bring extra sdcard for your camera. happened to me once, current simcard got damaged half way travelling.
- sunday is kinda dead in most european countries, so planned something to do accordingly else you will be bored to death.
- make some friends, local friends ( the place you're about to visit ), makes visiting the country much easier
- avoid roaming by buying local simcard provider, or the one like MaxRoam.
- it doesnt hurt to obey rules esp airlines rule. if they say : only 1 bag per person on board, just obey it. believe me, it helps a lot.

Legally, you're not allowed to bring any meat product, processed or otherwise, to EU from outside of EU countries.

Hi!

I will be travelling on a domestic flight this Saturday and I just found out today that my name is actually misspelled on the boarding pass.
It is a small misspelling and it is just like "Tan Siew Shan" spelled as "Tan Siew Shen".

Will it cause any kind of complication?

Thank you to whoever replies.

Top Overseas Travel Mistakes

Making an overseas trip? In your excitement of preparing and packing for your trip, be careful not to make the following mistakes:

1) Not Carrying Copies of Important Documents
Should you lose or misplace your important documents, you can save a lot of hassle in getting them replaced if you've made copies of them in advance. Scan your documents and save them online in your email or Google Documents. You can have them printed in case of an emergency.

2) Packing Unnecessary Items
Instead of stuffing what you think is necessary during your trip, take some time to plan your packing list. Instead of asking what you think you’ll need, ask what items you can do without and eliminate them from the list. Take into consideration the amount of shopping you’ll be doing at the shopping destination. Where will you find space for the things you buy while holidaying.

3) Not Planning Your Budget
It’s not enough that you have a vague idea on how much you will be spending at the holiday destination. Be specific on what you’ll spending on, apart from fixed costs like flight tickets. Work out a daily or weekly budget. Once you’ve set a budget, don’t exceed it,

4) Keeping All Your Money in One Place
Do you plan to carry all your cash in your wallet or handbag? Think again. Stash away money in different spots, even some in your socks etc. You’ll still have something to fall back on in case you get robbed or your wallet goes missing.

5) Not Buying Travel Insurance
You may think everything will be going well during your travels. Better be safe than sorry. What if you fall seriously ill and need special medical treatment? What if you lose your baggage or money. Have you prepared yourself for these eventualities? Talk to a travel insurance agent to consider how you can adequately cover yourself while travelling.

MAS pilot fined over child porn

MELBOURNE: A Malaysia Airlines (MAS) co-pilot was convicted and fined yesterday by an Adelaide magistrate's court with bringing child pornography into Australia.

According to the Adelaide Advertiser's website, the 25-year-old was charged with importing the prohibited item via three video files on his personal computer.

Customs officers arrested the man at the Adelaide International Airport on Thursday, after finding the video files containing child pornography.

Magistrate Simon Smart fined the co-pilot A$5,000 (RM14,500) and ordered his laptop seized.

“The material is repugnant and abhorrent ... any decent-minded person would be so affected by it,” Smart was quoted as saying by the website.

The newspaper said the co-pilot's computer was searched after he flew into Adelaide on a MAS flight from Kuala Lumpur. – Bernama

all kind of pressured-aerosol are banned - hair spray is out. Put in check in.
wax and gel is 100ml. Either you manual transfer to smaller bottles or buy small size.

Advise is just dump everything to check-in.
Don't hand carry.

Still can as long as all wording is correct.

Malay have BIN or BINTI in the middle... but in AA don't have it.. no problem to check in even in oversea airport.

This is the correct format actually. If you buy a ticket with an US airline, your name will be printed in such order too. So it means that you do not have to change anything because yours is correct smile.gif

Better stick to this format if it is used by US airlines.
AA is not strict on the order as I am able to pass with Joycelyn Ying Lee, Tan.
I would think that Surname = Last name = Family Name.

Sorry, my mistake. I just recall I tried to bring back an aerosol for shoe-spray (free from purchase).
Even the check-in luggage is not allowed. They afraid it may blow a hole in the luggage hold. sweat.gif

I kena at Macau airport. Donate it to the x-ray security guards. They try not to smile ... free to shine their shoes mad.gif

Therefore, it depends on your luck though. I'm not sure if others have successfully put aerosols through checked-in luggage.
