Well, common sense wise, you should take whatever you use on a daily basis at home.

clothes
skincare
makeup (if you are a girl)
haircare

Please remember that SG is a tropical country so you'd only need summer clothings. I guess maybe a jumper is necessary for when you are at the airport/plane where the air conditioning is a bit chilly.

Make sure to ask the accommodation that you are staying at provides towels or not. Else you'll be forced to buy one when you reached SG.

Other than that, you're good to go.

One more thing, make sure the liquids that you bring onboard is all 100ml bottles. Max is only 10 bottles in a seal-able clear plastic bag.

Have a great trip!!

I'm a frequent traveller, so whenever I fly I try to check in my luggage and avoid carrying cabin bag to avoid the hassle to lug it around. Just pack all your necessity into a bag pack -

Toiletries like face wash, toothbrush etc (100ml max)
Eye mask, earplugs = life saver!
Empty water tumbler, so you could refill water onboard
Snacks. Bring a lot of snacks! Even full service airline can run out of snacks.
A set of comfy clothes to change into, no need to worry bout spillage/stains/vomit etc

Finally,

If you have SPECIAL DIETRY REQUIREMENT, tell the airlines when you book your ticket! (eg/ no beef, halal, no garlic, hindu, kosher.

Remember to pour away your water before alighting in singapore.
They are strict in that.
If you are bringing your laptop, remember to take it out from your bag during check-ins biggrin.gif

//repaste here to enhance the possible respond in short-notice, sorry

Hello,

- I will have a flight tomorrow, departing on 09-July-2012 @ 1805.

- But right now (08-July-2012 @ 2200), I just been informed by my (crappy) agent that my booking had been kicked to another date due to overlapped book by another agent. I also heard when he was talking to another customer that no flight during that day. I was like "what the fuck?"

- Lucky me, I did conform my booking from their official website this morning (around 7AM @ 08-July-2012) and I already had a printed version of Boarding Pass. I even had my seat booked. Below picture is the prove:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

- I also check on the Qatar Official website @ ( http://www.qatarairways.com/eg/en/homepage.page ) that the flight is scheduled and no delay whatsoever.

- I believe Qatar Airways that have such a good rating would not do such short-notice delay for their passenger, like what the agent claimed.

QUESTION - Now what can still possibly go wrong? I basically had the boarding pass and the aircraft will be there as it suppose to be.

I been a frequent flier since years ago but this is my first time facing this kind of problem is such short notice. Please kindly advise me appropriately.

I thank you for every respond given.

Since it is not liquid, it can hand carry.

However, don't take our words 100%. The final decision is still based on airport security. They have the right to question you on the silica gel and packet, even though it is printed clearly there (as if bomb maker going to print BOMB there).
My advise is, be prepared for the worse. They may question you what it is, or to cut it open, or to tell you abruptly that it can't be carried for whatever security purpose.
If you worry, then bring few packets into checked in luggage.

If they let you pass, then good. Normally no issue lah.

From your story above, looks like there may be insufficient head count for ground-tour there. Did you book flight only ? Or full package ?

Just to be sure, call up Qatar customer service and ask them re-confirm your checked in ticket.

Unchecked Baggage: Passengers (except infants) are allowed two (2) items of baggage to be carried on board.  The items of baggage may be a combination of any two of the following: cabin bag or a laptop bag or a handbag.  The cabin bag shall not exceed the dimensions of 56cm X 36cm X 23cm and must not weigh more than 7kg. Such baggage must fit under the seat in front of you or in an enclosed storage compartment in the cabin. Items determined by us to be of excessive weight or size or of an offensive nature will not be permitted on board. Subject to the prevalent applicable local laws and regulations passengers may take liquids on board in their hand luggage provided they meet the following restrictions:

The liquid is in a container with a maximum volume of 100ml
That all liquid containers meeting the maximum volume of 100ml each can be fitted comfortably into a transparent, re-sealable 1 litre plastic bag
in the security notice in travel itinerary, it is clearly stated that only max 100 ml of liquid is allowable, plus it need to be sealed with 1 litre plastic bag.

question:

1) where can i get the 1 litre plastic bag? any standard size and types required?

2) if max 100 ml liquid is allowable, to most of u guys traveling abroad, how are u guys gonna bring your shampoo, body washing sabun, clothes washing detergent etc??

are u sure we can put in these >100ml liquid in check-in luggage? as what i know, they will physically inspect hand-in luggage , but not check-in luggage, no?
they will go unnoticed if going through check in inspection?

yeah, no problem with check-in luggages since you have no access to them during the flight.

ok, i wonder do they specify the <100ml liquid to be not to placed inside the hand-in luggage only, but for check-in, AA didn't specify right?

so in this case, we r actually allowed to put in check-in luggage? if that is the case, we r safe to bring along the shampoo, facial cleanser etc?

Is it possible to bring bottled Brands Essence of Chicken into UK through check-in luggage? And is there a need to declare at UK immigration?

yea, the unchecked baggage is the one we carry with ourselves.

it specify the <100ml liquid rules.

however, the checked baggage which is the one we choose (<15kg or <20kg) to be put into a scanning check, doesn't specify so.
thus, does it means the liquid <100 ml rule is not applied there?

You can place the liquid inside the checked luggages. I have done this.
