I'm kind of wondering if the new Lumia can be released on time. The fact that what was shown are prototypes, and camera no finalized, it makes you wonder. If I can recall, Nokia N8 was notorious for having release date pushed back many times.

Yeah, smartphones are so expensive. It just doesn't make sense for a small thing like that to cost so much. Imagine a top-end smartphone is more expensive than 1 TV and 1 notebook combined !

Like I said, microsd is small so when you take it out of its slot, it can get lost easily.

Anyway, the 920 has no microsd slot. The advantage of using a flash drive as opposed to the microsd is that you don't need to have to use a computer and a card reader to transfer the information out or into the phone.

If you are on the move, and you don't have a computer with you, you can transfer your photos out to a flash drive to be given to somebody. A lot of people carry flash drives around, along with their keys. The small USB OTG cable can be easily kept in a car, a small bag or even in the pocket for easy access when needed.

i still prefer micro sd just keep in the phone so that it will never get lost
but still usb otg support is a huge improvement for wp

I do hope that USB OTG cables could be easily found and cheap too. Don't want the hassle of making my own OTG cable.

Silly comparison.

Like this I might as well say it does not make sense that a a kilo of 24 karat gold cost more than a car.

They would need to price it below 2k if Nokia really wants to compete with Samsung and Apple.

But I doubt it

depends the phone is unique on its own. When android all are the same OS. Apple totally different OS as well.

Yes. I would too, although I use an Android. But it gets increasingly frustrating after some time.

Gold can't be mass-produced. Cars and phones can be mass-produced.

If you say it is a silly comparison, then why is a 40" LCD TV may cost up to RM20k, more than 10 years ago?
