standard ips better than e-ips?

IMO, both eIPS and standard IPS panel perform quite close. the comparison or different for these 2 models as below:

U2414H vs. U2412M
Pixel: 0.275mm vs. 0.270mm
Color Gamut: 85% (CIE 1976)/96% sRGB vs. 82% (CIE 1976)/97% sRGB
Brightness: 250 cd/m² vs. 300 cd/m²

BTW, U2412M is not using e-IPS, it's also standard IPS panel.

oic... you're right, it's hot.

U2713H:
443.58 BTU/hour (maximum)
204.73 BTU/hour (typical)

compare to U2414H just:
250.99 BTU/hour (maximum)
54.20 BTU/hour (typical)

also found that UP3214Q lagi panas:
580.21 BTU/hour (maximum)
341.30 BTU/hour (typical)

about weight, I have no concern, it's just 1 time open box and place on desktop table, not like notebook that need to carry around.

Nice. How did you compile that heat table? Haha

Btw is there any big diff between va and ips panel beside lower contrast and viewing angle . I am more on dual monitor as my gpu cant drive 1440p well enough..

When you guys say performance not enough for dual 1440p, what are you guys referring to? In games or normal 2D desktop applications?

Or do you prefer local? Very rare people looking for triple, dual can buy Dell Online.

try call Dell for your issue, please share with us here what you get afterward.

Forgot to update on this one but I had called Dell on the U2414H issue (it keeps going to sleep by itself and not able to wake up without restarting). The support guy I talked to explained that it could be a faulty monitor after my long explanation that I had updated both graphic card + monitor driver/checked with two different monitors/restarted machines etc etc. He arranged for a exchange and it was changed two days later. It is working fine after that, no more failing to wake up after sleep/hibernation etc thumbup.gif

*To note, apparently my monitor is not the first to have this issue though, quite a few especially from Dec 2013 batch.

I'm not into games. My current setup with 2 x 1080p is driven by a cheap Radeon HD 5570 pretty fine for full HD movies and normal stuff. I reckon 2 x 1440p for non-gaming application should be possible for normal graphics card nowadays.
