There are several but the most popular should be Yongsan Electronics Market.
But make sure you go to the REAL place.
Why?
Because previously I did a mistake too.
When I reached the subway station, there is a building right beside of the subway station. (connected)
The building is bigger than lowyat so I thought that is the Yongsan Electronics Market.
But I was wrong, that is only the tip of an iceberg.
So make sure you explore well.

If you want to import those Korean IPS, you can buy from ebay, or maybe ask some Gmarket bulk purchase.
I remember some1 here got it for RM900 include shipping (ebay).
I bought at RM700 here LOL. Cheap and good.

There are 2 possible hopes right now besides really need to spend a fortune for 4k@ 60hz
1) Some guy has talked to SEIKI about 4k@60, they say they will look at it. (tiny hope)
maybe combining 2 hdmi ports to achieve a higher bandwidth is possible.
2) The guy that posted the OCN review seems like working on some kind of add-on PCB for Display port. (not sure how far it will go)

Anyway, I did tried 30hz on daily works (surfing web, writing papers, etc).
It wasn't that bad at all. Because everything is quite static except when you scroll. (But I don't except you can read much when it is scrolling anyway)
The only problem is like what you have said: the mouse pointer seems like glued and jumpy. (But that is also not a big problem to me, because the mouse is very small compared to the whole screen)

Of course the downside of cheap 4K TV (seiki or skyworth) is only 30hz (40hz if OCed), but you can always switch to 1440p @ 70hz or 1080p @ 120hz for gaming.
It has also built in android TV, remote and stuffs. And it also does 3D with 2-4 free 3D specs. Everything only comes at 600USD. That is a steal.

P/S: I am coming from 100hz 1440p monitor and I can accept 30hz for daily works. (I seldom gaming maybe thats why my eye is slow XD)
*
I hope when you say you've tried 30Hz for daily use, that is on an actual 4K panel, not on a 1440p/1600p panel at 30Hz. Moving around your cursor on a 3840x2160 landscape at that level of choppiness and tearing is not pleasant. Dont even talk about doing work, as in pixel-peeping work on photographic workflow or video editing, when you have to concentrate on pinpointing where the cursor lands before clicking every single time you wanna do something in your workflow, that is not even funny anymore. tongue.gif

Switching DOWN to 1440p or 1080p is not for me. I suspect lots of gamers who also had invested in a 4K panel, has also invested on the gaming hardware to drive pixels at 4K resolution too, and dialing it down to 1440p or 1080p to game, is a horrible investment made, just so to avoid 30Hz choppiness. You already see why most of them gamers are sticking with 1080p: because they've found the silky-smoothness of 120Hz Lightboost gaming, and are not willing to move up to higher resolution until they can get a panel that is 120Hz capable as well, stock or overclocked.

If the USD600 4KTV isn't gonna be used for gaming, then I don't see a reason why you wanna use it for anything else other than, due to the reasons I've mentioned above. It's understandable to be more forgiving if the price is attractive. The question is, are you REALLY getting the benefit of 4K even when these corners are cut to make it affordable to you? Again, these panels are cheap, and cheap comes with features compromised. I'll mention again the shimmering and edge noise made apparent, and on a 4K panel, that is becoming more and more obvious when the resolution is that high. Again, folks will "forgive" this because they are cheap and within their means. but you're not reaping the rewards of real 4K. But one thing that is good about these cheap panels is that they will (eventually) drive the price of good 4K panels down, to the point where it will be affordable. Just that it wont be happening immediately but over a period of time.

beside price, both are totally different categories. Samsung S27Bxxx series for business (I know, it's overpriced) should be the 1 compete with Dell UltraSharp. what's your monitor main usage first?

Get U2713HM. The Coating on this monitor is very light compare to my previous U2311H = the color is more sharp instead of darker.

now am currently try to adjust to its enormous size. The facebook looks like a tiny line that juz accommodate 1/3rd of the monitor space doh.gif

Ok. Anybody know which retail shop (except for Dell online) has the U2713H in stock?
