QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Aug 23 2012, 06:41 PM) He is a decent player with great acceleration and dribbling ability BUT too selfish in my opinion. Too many times I've seen him fluffing chances when there are much better options around him. He isn't exactly prolific as well, if BR intends to play Borini wide and with Suarez better than creating than finishing off chances, wouldn't it be better to get a goalscorer than a wide forward such as Sturridge. Also he reminds me a bit of Balotelli in the sense that they are sometimes too full of themselves. Exactly, that's why I'm not too sure if this deal is good or not. We have been lacking a real prolific striker since Torres left and I do hope we get someone prolific or rather play Borini more central than wide and see what he can do. After all, Borini is kinda in the same mould as Owen. |

Was having this conversation with a manic Reds supporter...and truth be told, he hardly take note of Liverpool progress anymore, saying psychological torture of almost 20 years had taken its toll, he supported Liverpool during the 80's, he saw KD lift the title as player/manager - but since the sacking of KD, he is so down, that he sort of drifted and detached...haha...probably a bit exaggerated but boy he really mentally down and is taking a rest from supporting liverpool - to concentrate on table tennis...hahaha...and interestingly he point out that, during the Torres transfer saga, Sturridge was offered as part exchange, which was rejected...and how ironic that we should pursue Sturridge now....he rightly point out that our scouting network is really sleeping...even donkeys can target better prospects than it is currently,,,and another case in point - when we received 50 million from torres....of all the 'class' players available - we sign Carrol - what happen to Hazard, Jovetic and Sahin - ohh ya..back then was buy british....too many reasons and justification and no end-result....I for one, vote to keep carrol than bringing in Sturidge, no disrespect but cant bear another period for player to adjust and gel-in with the team bla bla bla, we have carrol who is already familiar with the team for god forsaken sake, probably i am a bit cynical, but deep down, there are too many a times that we need to chop and change players - but end-up playing just as bad - and dont talk about the fighting spirit when we went down to WBA, there is none of it...i tot Villans, or even Totenham responded better with player down than us...we are simply shitty - this season and last (remember the match against Spurs)

Give me a good reason why Nuri Sahin wants to come to Liverpool at this very instance?
Let's be realistic, if you are a neutral professional football player and you are at the mother of all junctures in your career, which club would you move to? Arsenal or Liverpool? |

QUOTE(carloz28 @ Aug 23 2012, 08:40 PM) Give me a good reason why Nuri Sahin wants to come to Liverpool at this very instance? It's more about what Real Madrid wants actually. Mourinho wants to keep him and thus is looking for a loan deal however Arsenal wants a permanent deal or a loan with the option to sign him.Let's be realistic, if you are a neutral professional football player and you are at the mother of all junctures in your career, which club would you move to? Arsenal or Liverpool? At the moment there are lots of conflicting rumours flying about, I would take any of them with a pinch of salt until the deal's firm. |
