Give me a good reason why Nuri Sahin wants to come to Liverpool at this very instance?

Let's be realistic, if you are a neutral professional football player and you are at the mother of all junctures in your career, which club would you move to? Arsenal or Liverpool?

good enough reason or not? biggrin.gif

GOOD - sterling,hendo,kelly,adam

BAD - jonjo,borini

WORST - spearing..after all these years still out of position on the pitch..anonymous in 1st half..its like playing with 10 men!

overall i'm satisfied with the performance considering the players..Borini should've got a hattrick..but missed all those golden chances with one hitting the post doh.gif have good movement though

to be honest the played like crap yesterday. no disrespect to Hearts, but our team make team looks like world beaters. Their goalie rarely tested by our players.

can't really blame Borini and forwards because he midfield just doesn't work at all. 20 passes amongst the CM and fullbacks in own half then pass back to Reina. then hoofs the ball forward making it easy to intercept by Heart players. when we do trying to pass forward, the passes are wasteful. Shelvey having a bad game amongst them all. like a headless chicken out there.

we have good prospect in Sterling. the lad still young and lightweight but he will be boss in couple of years. Borini while not effective in this game... it looks like he is trying hard. he needs Suarez and creative players to play amongst him.

btw, we can start making a counter on how many times we hit the goal post this season. biggrin.gif

if wasted all the chances...cant really blamed the midfield ehhh?? brows.gif

how many chances are they?
*
first a superb pass from Hendo where he missed completely when only a keeper to beat..then a Sterling pass in which he shot against the post..an own goal where he miss a cross from Kelly..luckily there's a Hearts defender able to save his embarrasment..bout 3 golden chances there..despite all that I have to admit he's got a good movement..several times a linesman made a bad call when he clearly onside shakehead.gif

thats 3 chances which he should burried the ball in the net.. no excuse from him.. but only 3 chances in 90 mins.. against Hearts.. shocking, no?

as you said, he got good movement and linesman being an arse flagging him offside when he timed his run just nice. give him a couple of games to get better understanding with other team mates and he'll be ok.
*
with a midfield of adam & jonjo..3 golden chances plus a coupled of bad calls from linesman is not that bad..I rated Borini highly..I'm sure he'll improve, but this surely not one of his good game

the 1st superb pass from hendo is 50-50 chance...how many player are good with volley?
2nd chance - must be a goal
3rd chance - this kind of ball very difficult to defend & to score.even clinical finisher like torres can convert it 8/10 from this type of crossing.

do the clear chance he miss is only one from 3..only 2 clear chance & one 50-50 chance he miss smile.gif

Borini 1st goal with liverpool is a volley biggrin.gif

I think Sahin picked Arsenal instead of us until the Arse backed-off in the negotiation and he has no choice but to come to us, we were never his first choice. I wouldn't go to the extend of wishing players that left us breaks their his legs but they should have wished their manager's leg is broken instead because of his stupidity, only joking.

WBA is awesome today and Gyfil was rubbish, luckily we never bought him and AVB should have come to us instead of to the spuds. Let's make it difficult for Citeh tmro.

he choose ars coz of CL...but his club cant agree bout the permanent deal after the loan...think we should hang a Turkey flag at Anfield..the color suits us, red & white..let him feel at home..some more our last European title was won in Turkey biggrin.gif

That's what I'm jibing at the old senile manager of theirs, if he's not serious and doesn't have the guts and financial muscles to wrestle till the end, don't waste everyone's time. Summore ask Sahin to hold on and not to sign for us until he sorted his mess. For some reason or another, I never fancy that Wenger fellow, even when his team is well beaten, he went round blaming everyhting from the weather to the tea lady.

turning down a good player like sahin coz of no option to buy is juz like rejecting a date with Angelina Jolie coz she cant guarantee u'll be her boyfriend after that biggrin.gif

The Turkey international passed a medical later in the day and the formalities of the transfer have now been confirmed.

Sahin told the Liverpool official website: "I know a lot about Liverpool Football Club - I know it is a very big club with a huge history, with big players and big trophies. When they won the biggest trophy in 2005, I was in the stadium in Istanbul. It was my first taste of Liverpool.

"That year, I won the European Under-17 Championship with Turkey, so we were invited by the Turkish Football Federation to watch the game.

"We were sitting near to where the Liverpool fans were and it was just a crazy, crazy night. It was then I saw what football and Liverpool Football Club means to the people."

Sahin also revealed that he had spoken to former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso "a lot of times" before making the move.

"Xabi is a person who really cares about football," he said. "He's in love with football. I'm the same, and that's why we had a lot of conversations.

"When I arrived at Real Madrid, we spoke about German football and Italian football. He likes football! When he heard Liverpool were interested in me, he started telling me about Liverpool.

"He is still in love with Liverpool Football Club, I think. It's crazy how he was telling me about Liverpool. He was saying, 'Go there - you will love it. The fans will take care of you and love you' and things like that. He said Anfield is the best stadium in the world. Xabi won a lot of trophies here, and hopefully we can do that too."

Liverpool also confirmed that Sahin will wear the No. 4 shirt during his time at Anfield.

thats why we loves Xabi!

2 defensive mistakes cost us...i'll be worried if its happened on our 36th game of the season..but considering its only our 2nd game, plenty of time to rectify it..with 2 of our important figures missing lucas+agger, think its not that bad of a result...hope BR saw that Suarez will never be a striker..put him out wide or behind the striker and he could do bigger damage to the opposition..best player for me - Joe Allen..whoever complained we paid 15m for this guy before, now can see why..after Lucas out injured, he bossed the midfield for us..its not easy when u are up against Yaya & De jong..Jonjo looks good too, completely a dfferent player when played vs Hearts...Sterling played as i predicted, so no surprise there...all in all the whole team improved tremendously compare with the 1st game..sometimes in football thats the most important thing..improvement improvement improvement! thumbup.gif

cant wait to see Sahin played alongside Lucas & Allen..that will be awesome! drool.gif

can Downing cut inside from the flank? because from what i saw last night, the inclusion of Sterling was because of BR loves flankers who cut inside. he got Sinclair and Dyer in Swansea. in Liverpool, the only player capable to do that imo, is Suarez. Downing and Henderson always hug the touchline. i won't be surprise if BR get another winger at the end of the week.
*
sure he can..as long as BR put him on the right!..many times last season when he's switched to the right, he'll cut inside and shoot
