in general burn in means getting used to the sound, and IEM itself also will improve

After a week with XP3 review.
I switched to double flanges silicone tips for several days, and single flanges tips after that, until today.

Yes, my silicone custom sleeve tips made bass much juicier and better noise siolation but, lesser treble punch and sparkle.

For commuting 1 hour plus each way, in train (KTM Komuter), a good noise isolation is quite essential, but, it also makes me sleepier. smile.gif So, I stick with single flange tips, for easy insert/remove operations and increase surrounding awareness.
'
BTW, I prefer Westone's braided cable more than the FLAT cable. The Flat cable is heavier and slightly difficult to coil to keep it in my shirt's pocket.

IMHO, XP3s are very affordable and good overall IEMs, for most of the genres.

Burn in:
IMHO, it more about our mind to 'adapts' to the new sound signature at certain level.

Thank you.

Wow, still alive... after so long, it's really a great success from Jaben & Beyer.
Picked up XP3 and listen to some recent Pop song after it slept for like few months, and the signature is still the laid back mid, rumbling bass and decent treble, but still can't really get over the uncomfortable-ness, perhaps I already got used to EPH-100 T.T;; huhu~~
Anyway for those who feels the ear piece easily fall off, there's another way without spending RM40 (Sorry Walabies bro), is to wear over-ear, this flat cable can actually much easier to wear over-ear than Shure's, also this method minimize cable noise as well. wink.gif

+1
My experience also similar to ClieOS' review.

Laid back mid: Yes, but not that too far behind. It is just about listening from 7th to 10th row in concert hall. IMHO.

Warranty can claim?

Maybe caused by the driver, claim warranty from jaben is the best option.
