Tried the xp series 2 days ago and among all those three I'd say I prefer the XP2 instead! The mids are so good to my ears with that price range

QUOTE(Hitman66 @ Oct 13 2012, 10:14 PM) Tried the xp series 2 days ago and among all those three I'd say I prefer the XP2 instead! The mids are so good to my ears with that price range Yeah, somehow after I auditioned the burn-in XP2, I was slightly regret that I bought XP3... *sigh* oh well~ At least XP3 has good presentation on the instruments sounds stage. Going to burn-in more to see what will it become. Add: Found another way to wear comfortably for long hours for this huge housing. Solution is wear it over-ear, yes there's no mistake here, over-ear, it's even easier to wear over those normal over-ear type. How? While normally the wire is straight down, now you turn it ~120 degree to the front, then put the wire over-ear, that's it. The huge housing will face down instead of up, better insertion for those with small ear (like me Now, it's even better at handling the annoying microphonics problem, minimize it even further, now I can wear it up to 3 hours and still no pain around the ears. QUOTE(kennethkee93 @ Oct 13 2012, 06:16 PM) My XP3's right driver seems like having problem now, left side is louder then right side. Nvm, you can send back to us for RMA.Edit: Confirmed after my friend tested it, driver is having imbalance output. QUOTE(beh0211 @ Oct 13 2012, 10:21 PM) It improves the transparency, the extension and detail.QUOTE(firewater476 @ Oct 14 2012, 02:48 PM) Erm, comparable I guess? The price tag is so much difference btw.QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Oct 14 2012, 03:15 PM) Yeah, somehow after I auditioned the burn-in XP2, I was slightly regret that I bought XP3... *sigh* oh well~ I think u can post it as a educational reference. At least XP3 has good presentation on the instruments sounds stage. QUOTE(eugene88 @ Oct 15 2012, 12:01 AM) XP2 compared with XP3? If that's the case then probably it's a yes? I wouldn't say it has more bass but rather the focus on which part, XP3 has V shape sounding, while XP2 is much balanced so the amount of bass is slightly on the mid so you feels more bass, XP1 is exceptional case (bass all the way).Instruments sounds stage is better at XP3, great at differentiate the instruments apart due to its detail nature, slightly analytical due to its housing sounding I guess, more "ting ting" than "ding ding". But because of this the mid sounds laid back, vocal song with lots of heavy instruments will pushes the vocal back but full instruments orchestra will definitely sound really nice. |

Then I'll get the XP3 since I also listen to classical musicInstruments sounds stage is better at XP3, great at differentiate the instruments apart due to its detail nature, slightly analytical due to its housing sounding I guess, more "ting ting" than "ding ding". Still depends on your taste though, some people doesn't like the sound signature of Beyerdynamic. You'll have to audition it yourself to find out if it's a worth while upgrade, price wise?
