Looks like Jaben Penang is the only one with XP3 in stock. My XP3 also is incoming from Penang branch.

Didn't try XP1 as XP2 already too bassy for me.

Took me a while to reply (always Gateway timed out)... ok, time to reply.
XP3 has a V shape band so the bass and high sounded high, tune down the volume should help a bit, otherwise you'll just need to tune the EQ with less treble.
XP2 is rather flat (balance) so the high won't be so sharp.
I, myself also got slightly irritated by the extreme high but I guess I got used to my AT-CK300M which has very flat treble responds, but the clarity and detail really good on the XP3, should be the reason of the high that pushes some of the detail that you usually won't notice.
I'll try to audition the XP2 again to compare it with my XP3 after 150 hour burn-in.

You can try with 200 hours burn in and try it but my ear just itch to try out after several hours lol, but after 80+ hours the audio isn't so significant already so if it's still too high to you then I'm not sure what way to reduce it (burn in).
Anyway there're few AMP out there that you can try out to reduce the high, some did that (need to audition) if I remember correctly it's a small white box, from Hippo ... well you can use that as pass-through to reduce the high.

Let it settle down for a longer time. Beyer products tends to have longer burn in time.

Yeap~ That's the spirit, patient... well, I'm currently queueing more songs (vocal) for extended burn-in.
Searching for more classic 24-96... *ahem*

It's Hippo Pipe Mini, found the image at Jaben Malaysia, the demo unit at SCLG is way too plain, just know it's a white stuff, you can try to audition it and see if it can helps you, or take boss walabies advice, he's experienced afterall 

160-hour+ impression, just a quick one on this, not much changes.
Highs, now this one is a good improvement, the ear piercing highs now feels great, it seems to settle down.
Mid, same, slightly U (might due to Hippo Cri Cri+), anyway the voice now feels great as well with the highs settle down.
Bass, there's certainly lots, hey, it's XP series... so if you don't like Bass, sorry boss go for AT or FAD.
Sound stage, wonder if it's me or the stage just widen by slightly, not much until you really notice it. Anyway I didn't use the stock tips, I use one of the Galaxy Note IEM stock tips (white one) that fits my ear perfectly. Have not yet try double-flange tips.

Good luck to all XP3 owners out there, keep up the burning, will report in again after 200-hour+.

I know I might get flake for saying this but currently the 30 hours burn-in xp3 doesn't sound comparatively near to Jaben's demo unit, very far from it actually.

It has been mentioned longer burn-in is needed but can longer burn-in result in 50% SQ improvement for xp3?

Finally received my unit!



The build quality is outstanding! I didn't expect a metal constructed shell for the price.
However I have a love/hate relationship with the kway teow inspired cable. It is absolutely tangle free but it has a very bad microphonics.

Sound wise, this definitely has boosted bass. The sub bass rumble is actually quite enjoyable for me and it sounds clean without any noticeable distortion.
The mids however sound slightly muted for my liking and the treble can sound peaky at times. hopefully this will sound better with time.
The price to performance ratio however is really good. I much prefer the sound of this to the beats studio which have an artificial sounding highs with bloated treble.
Definitely a good buy 

who is this wowloud anyways.. recently only appear in lyn community.. store reliable?

Lots of the Beyerdynamic has very long burn-in, just the improvement isn't that noticeable any more after 100-hour+, only if you really notice it using different song/music after few days of burn-in. Need even longer period of gap to really notice the changes.
And the driver is not that huge (2cm), IMO it could be only 11.5 mm at best, could be 8.5 mm?
It's the housing that actually alter how the sounds like, XP3 has the colder metal ticking sound, slightly on the analytical.
SCLG boss also told me that cable also require burn-in, and it'll affect the overall sound stage, well, I won't know until I can reach that level. He did let me audition his 600-hour++ DT231Pro, the sound stage is just so amazing, and it's only RM2xx headphone.

Now I'm going to let it burn-in around 3 days before I have another listen (~9-hour per day)

Yeah, somehow after I auditioned the burn-in XP2, I was slightly regret that I bought XP3... *sigh* oh well~
At least XP3 has good presentation on the instruments sounds stage.
Going to burn-in more to see what will it become.

Add: Found another way to wear comfortably for long hours for this huge housing.
Solution is wear it over-ear, yes there's no mistake here, over-ear, it's even easier to wear over those normal over-ear type.
How? While normally the wire is straight down, now you turn it ~120 degree to the front, then put the wire over-ear, that's it.
The huge housing will face down instead of up, better insertion for those with small ear (like me ) especially wearing the double-flange.
Now, it's even better at handling the annoying microphonics problem, minimize it even further, now I can wear it up to 3 hours and still no pain around the ears.

Hi Guys, let me share my XP3 experience. I bought 2 XP3 on dec 2012, one for my friend one for myself. Both of the earphones are facing muted 30% after 1 year of use, which is at around Jan 2014 / feb 2014 this year. After 1 more month of use, both of the earphone is totally dead at one side.. Its over the warranty period (1 year). We can't do anything about it, I believe. The sound is not bad, but you might have some problem with the cable noise. If you want to have noise cancelling or noise isolation feature, this series of earphone is not your choice. But, if you don't mind about the noise, you may go for it. Just, you might need to take into the consideration that, the earphone might only last for around 1 year time frame, or even lesser.
