Just got a call from Shell, asking time and date that I would be free for a phone interview, told them I'm free anytime and had my interview half and hour later. (I applied on January 28th for overseas scholarship)

Couldn't prepare anything much, just had time to view other people's experiences.

I was very nervous, mindset was like "Ok, you've got to do this, this is it!"

Interviewer was very nice though, told me to relax "I won't bit", she said.

Talking about myself was rather meh in my opinion in my evaluation of what an interview process should go (as in, I didn't do too well) but once we went into topics, I thought I did ok. Chose CO2 emissions and what I can do as a Shipping manager to reduce it.

At the end, the interviewer said I pass the first interview process. Just waiting for email for F2F interview and guessing from pass experience, SRD.

Fingers crossed. We'll see what happens.

What that suppose to mean? I'm quite worried.

Just got informed that SRD would be on 3rd & 4th of June, the coordinator told me that I must attend both days and 3rd June is pre-SRD briefing that starts on 3pm? anyone had the same thing and can anyone tell me what is this about?

Just go, they will brief you what will happen on the actual SRD, and tell u some useful information for your SRD Preparation

I just got an email asking to book a slot for face to face interview in Shell Malaysia.

I think many people were asked to have phone interview.. why I had been called for phone interview?

personally i prefer F2F interview. Sometime a bad reception of your phone could spoil your interview, just like wat my friend did, he got an interview from a dutch guys, due to the slang and his phone reception quality, he failed.

mostly phone interview is schedule for those who located oversea or those located in other city that would be inconvenience for them to attend F2F interview

Not true. Phone Interview is used as a screening method to ensure only qualified candidates attend the SRD. There are no geographical consideration in it. I was working in Klang Valley when I did the phone interview. It is more on Cost/Resources/Time consideration for them to screen candidates via Phone interview, rather than asking each candidate to come to the office for a 30mins interview after passing the first screening(CVs, Results, Qualification)

Hello, quick question. IF you have already gone for the face to face interview and didnt make it to SRD, they will inform you right? Rather than just informing the ones that made it to the next round?

yes they will. You need to check the job application status from time to time.

10 working days, which i'm still waiting for a reply

Mine took about a month, but the interviewer told me that i would be informed within 14 days whether i will proceed to the next stage, but i guess it got delayed bcoz of the high number of applicants.

one more thing i find odd, the interviewer did share with me although i didnt ask, the salary and some details of the graduate engineer position. is this common?

1 month my interviewers shared their experience in shell. I guess depends on people like what they think they wanna tell us.

I am still waiting too Actually I got an offer from other company, which made me start to think should I wait for shell.

suggest u accept the offer 1st, Shell could take long time before u can actually join in, but from what i know,they dun mind if u wish to defer your start date, which gv u sufficient time to tender your resignation.
n u cant sure u 100% secure a job in shell before signing anything

btw, u can notify Shell tat u have an offer deadline as well
