kind of weird, instead of calling me, they send me an email with a redirect link to pick a schedule for my interview, and my interviewer is from (comm and tech?) meaning i am going to get an interview about an IT position?
oh crap...dont really wish to be in IT anymore after the experience that i'm having now at my current company anyway...attending the interview next wed, all the best to myself, and hope that no more programmer job!!! btw, where is shell house KL? reachable by public transport? Yes that's how they let you pick the time slot for your interview. The normal procedure. And no whoever interviewing you has nothing to do with which department you're heading to. Usually they will encourage you to take LRT to somewhere near and then take a cab from there, but driving is a much better choice honestly. They will reimburse your expenses for the SRD round but not the interview. So good luck and all the best!oh crap...dont really wish to be in IT anymore after the experience that i'm having now at my current company anyway...attending the interview next wed, all the best to myself, and hope that no more programmer job!!! btw, where is shell house KL? reachable by public transport? |

Hi, crawled thru the post and ought to share my application experience here:
I'm currently working in Singapore, Online assessment 1: 30 March (was busy so delayed until 3rd of Apr to do it) Online assessment 2: 4 April no news after that (I kinda forgotten about it).. then I received an email from shell again and told me this: "we are sorry to inform you that at present we only have IT related vacancies which could match your degree profile, would you be interested?" and listed several roles + descriptions for me.. was too busy to reply them at that time and then I received the F2F interview notice on Apr 29 F2F interview - Apr 30 Since I was in Singapore, they scheduled a telephone interview for me and asked me to attend on the very second day =.= Started to do some research on F2F interviews and alot of people was talking about the final stage of F2F they will throw out 4 options of open topic discussions. But for my case it didn't happen, I had like 8~10 questions asked: all were like this: Tell me a time when you.... Tell me a time when you have to... Tell me a time when you faced a problem... Tell me a time how you reacted in a situation... bla bla bla.. in the end they asked me why I wanted to join Shell. was easier than I expected, you don't really need to prepare for this, just be genuinely honest with your experience Yesterday night I received my SRD invitation. But didn't tell me the date time: At the moment we are dealing with a high number of applications, and therefore you may experience a delay in receiving a date and time for your final assessment Hope this helps other that are currently applying, and wish you all good luck Same question with the candidate above, how often is the SRD in Shell Malaysia? |

I have applied on March and this is the reply from them...Do I still have chance to get in?
Thank you for following-up. Your application is still being screened based on the results of the online assessments that you have completed and your qualifications. Due to the volume of applications received, there will be a delay in receiving updates regarding your application but I hope this delay does not cause too much inconvenience. Should you have any important information or offers with time deadlines that you would like to inform us about, do let us know. Our sincerest apologies for the delay and thank you for your continued interest in Shell. |

QUOTE(Phill Eppi @ May 7 2013, 12:31 PM) Congratulation! Nope, nothing to pause about as the stuff they are asking wasn't a question that needs to analyze or calculate. In my opinion it's good to give examples that how you excelled in a team environment, and based on each of your experience they will ask you what kind of difficulties you have faced. How was your interview last time?you can answered it all?any pause moment?just need some sharing My Interview call lasted for 40 minutes only.. |

QUOTE(Phill Eppi @ May 9 2013, 02:14 PM) Just got back Interview lasted one hour and it was a one on one interview. I was asked to explain times when I was a leader and helped to solve problems Quite stressful for me and at the end of the interview, my mouth was totally dry |
