It's unfortunate such incident happened. They claimed the alarm sounded for one hour and no guards came over to check. If this is true then the fault is with the guards, no questions asked. The thieves must be daring as ass, still can wait for one hour there while the alarm was sounding! As for the company itself, didn't do any backup for their projects is their internal fault too. I feel something hanky panky..insurance company will investigate, they won't simply compensate.
Burglary is not something new, and wat bout fire? Even for my personal data, I make 4 backups, put elsewhere.
I did experienced backup hard disc ever corrupted twice.
I remembered bout 10 yrs ago, my client a big printer (who owed many suppliers money) in Klang claimed the factory burned down all the machineries, causing 10mil lost, but after 2 weeks theirs new factory in Penang started full operation.
