Thanks boss! Will post up Trigon later, as none of the images i found so far can be saved Why "emm" for Celcom? Was surprised they took a good spot, ground floor near to the Entertainment Centre facing the water vista.

Should be very soon now, tentative date announced earlier by TGV was August 2012. Btw, a little proud fact, apparently the beanieplex concept was the mastermind of TGV Cinemas, possibly first of its kind on the world. It was featured by this American magazine recently http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/arch...-future/261142/

This movie theater does not have, strictly speaking, movie theater seats. This theater does not feature mandibular chair bases that snap closed the minute they're relieved of their occupants. It does not feature cushions made of acrylic velour. It does not feature cup holders large enough to accommodate all four "digestive compartments" of a cow's stomach worth of soda. It does not feature armrests that ensure one will spend the duration of a film either too far from -- or way, way too close to -- one's seatmate.

Instead, this movie theater has couches. Couches that are made of bean bags.

Yes. The world is a wondrous place.

These particular movie-seat bean bags, alas, are located in Malaysia. But -- and this is only about 80 percent wishful thinking -- they could also be coming to a theater near you. Because movie prices are going up; box office gross is going down. Given Netflix and Hulu and OnDemand and iTunes and Amazon Prime and the approximately 5,000 other movie-watching options available to consumers -- on their phones, on their tablets, on their TVs, or craftily projected onto screens and walls -- theaters as environments will have to evolve. Their main selling point, of course, has long been the fact that they offer an experience rather than a film; in the age of the home theater, though -- and in the age of the mobile theater -- experience itself is no longer enough. An itchy acrylic chair can't compare, generally speaking, to one's own perfectly plump couch -- and stadium seating begins to look much less appealing when you can stream a movie onto your phone while sitting on the beach.

So theaters need to up their game. They need to find a way to make themselves not just an experience -- because, now, we can get "an experience" anywhere -- but an experience that people will choose even over their own couches. One way to do that will be to improve themselves as settings for the things theaters are often best suited for -- dates, and casual outings with friends and family -- by making themselves more inviting, more friendly, more cozy.

And one way to do that? Couches. Couches, preferably, constructed of beanbags.

SW piece of land is commercial title, therefore the serviced apartments should be under commercial rate too. However, there are many other same cases whereby the serviced apartment were successfully converted to residential rate. So, nothing is impossible.

Well, i guess it's a good lesson for TBF... probably this is a special case, as it was a weekday and the raid was carried out after 11pm. I don't know what is the time limit in Malaysia that justifies a raid for public disturbance, but as long as it is within the agreed limit, i see no cause for the residents to complaint or the police/MPSJ to raid unnecessarily. One thing for sure, who are the residents that complaint? Anyone moved into Solace already or maybe it's from the residents at the back Taman. The music so power huh, can travel so far

I thought TGV is located at the top two floors of the EC, L5 & L6. CF is at L3 & L4 right? I always have the impression snooker is for ah bengs don't shoot me

As the EC can be considered as purpose-built building, since they already planned for it to house a cinema at design stage. Therefore, there shouldn't be much prob to pass bomba inspection, as long as the emergency exits and ventilation requirements are fulfilled.

Haha, taikor, good idea, but dunno if our face is big enough for TGV or not.. should forward this suggestion to SPS, so all SW owners can get privilege tickets + free food on the opening day!

It's a shame really, otherwise it would be a big success. Now some ppl are making a BIG fuss out of it on FB

Hehe.. i think it was supposed to be from 6pm to 12am, was stopped at 11pm, so at least they had 5 hrs of fun!

It was some anniversary celebration.. for sure it won't happen often! But i'm curious, is there anyone moved into Solace already?

If there's the possibility, they should try to persuade Urbanfresh to come in since they managed to get it to open in Setia City Mall. Market partnership.

Any contractor doing show unit in Solace? Also, can you share how is the grill design as decided by the management?
