My laptop benq s73g, uses ATI X1600. When I play games, the temperature of whole system went up to 85C. But when I check using NHC, the CPU temperature only shows 60+C. So I guess is the GPU that caused my laptop's whole system to up to 85C. Anyone can suggest one cooler for laptop GPU?

NEED HELP
I got problem when playing 3D PC games. When playing the game, It will suddenly hang or freeze. Cant do anything even moving mouse cursor and alt-tab. But when I press the power button to shut down the PC (I already pre-set the power button to become shut down button), the PC can shut down normally by go out to the desktop then shut down as usual. My graphic card don't have temperature sensor so I don't know the actual temperature but I think should not be overheat problem. Because: 1. The game will only hang when playing those PC standalone game like STALKER, Ghost Recon 2. 2. Playing Dota no problem. 3. Playing 3D online game like Granado Espada, LineageII which uses high graphic quality no problem. So need any pro here to help me troubleshoot this problem. Hope to heard from you all here soon. Thanks ya~ |

It's always not advisable to use a gaming laptop for serious gaming coz it would just shoot up high in temperature .... very hot most of time the most effective solution would be staying an aircond room ... it can't be cooled even by any laptop cooler ... |

hmm there's no option for rear exhuast blower for ur card anymore or pretty much none for any other mainstream card now days...
these are cooler from AC that could fit ur card: Accelero X2 and Accelero S1. It would be better to get Accelero S1 for it's optimun performance without generating too much of noise .... |

Accellero S1 is really recommended. It did wonders for my 7800GTX. Even in fanless mode, I get around 10C better temps both idle and load compared with stock.
It's also half the price of the thermalright while weighing less and fanless. Better than expected. The downside is (as with all other coolers) once upgrade to 8800 or future cards. Have to junk the cooler. |

Yah and all thanks to card manufacturer that differ one another generation by generation ...
each time a shifting from one G to another G .. .the compatibility issue would just rises and new cooler would be designed .. which most of time cooler are design according to different range of performance .. no universal cooler that really fits all well .. . and due to that we got tripple holes in our pocket every year .... 1st hole=CPU 2nd hole=GPU 3rd hole=HSF |

Yah two at both sides of the pant and one at the back, so leaving you one pocket to store money for daily survival ..
so if u have a gf or wife then probably that pocket left is reserved for her... I'm still wondering should I get HR-03 RD600, it's a bit expensive and yet the performance is not been reviewed ... |
