U may ask a report from your servicing UTC. (since is PB series, should you go back to the PB Staff to ask for it). Best Luck!!!

Below is the example of the Public Series P/Loss Report.

Personally this PB Mixed Asset Conservative Fund is not suitable for me, I like higher risk funds. :-)

PBMAX is low risk fund [Here u go]

I'm planning to invest using my epf. Is this Public Islamic Select Treasures Fund 6.98% 1.41% 2.81% 4.77% 7.42% 7.44% fund good? What is the important thing to take note to compare which fund should invest? And how to know which is equity fund? Thank you.

I don't know if the below real data of 4.5 years is fit into your target or not. The below is for PISTF actual performance. Check it out!

IRR is 13.63% per annum

just a note: yr investment is your $, monitor it from time to time ( 1 yr ~ 2 yrs depends) to see how is the performance. Is the return as you expected?
if the mkt where to crash....review the situation....see if you can stomach to drop....if you cannot stomach that drop...then you had bought the wrong one.

on "What is the important thing to take note to compare which fund should invest?" hmm.gif
i think it is your own "RISK level" how much can you afford to lose?
Dun just think how much you can make per year from the return..but also how much can you afford to lose and NOT having to depends on that $$ for a few years. normally higher the return will have higher the risk of losing that too.....normally funds would do well in the longer terms...but also there are some exceptions. surf the net to hwangIM or FSM or ask yr PM UT for a simple test to see where your risk level is?

on "And how to know which is equity fund?" hmm.gif
i think, any fund from PM that does not have the word "BOND", "FIXED Income", "SUKUK" or "Money Market Fund "are equities or have some portion in equities.
i may be wrong,...check it out

you may go to fund review and get the latest 1Q Fun Review.
From there, you can see which one is more equity based on their %.

This is an example of balanced fund.
For equity, its should be more % on equity, >70%.

You may choose your fund by comparing total asset in different country, top holding and the annualized return. All already inside the fund review.

PISTF is 100% Malaysia holding, quite large % of money market (which I don't really like, but its make it a stable fund). Commence on 2009 but only had annualized return of 8%.

I was a Pub-Mut UTC and as such I am privy to internal data. Hence using those data's I plot them into financial formula to evaluate them scientifically.

The two ratios I used are:

I)Risk Adjusted Performance Ratio (aka Modigliani-2 ratio)

and

II) Jessen Alpha Ratio

From PUb-Mut QTR1-2013 quarterly report:

KLCI is now trading at forward PER of 16.1% and 3.4% div yield. The 10 year average historical PER is 16.5% and12 mth Retail FD is at 3.15%. We are trading at very close to the 10 year historical average and the div yield is very close to the risk free rate.

My opinion is that unless your asset allocation is underweight on equities, hold first and wait for fresh lead.

For those kiasu type who is too overweight on fixed income, come out come out and play - play. Yes, you... You know who you are.
