I'm not an expert la... First you need to get this program call Wisbar Advance, you can get it from here. After you install the program, you need to located the folder under /My Device/Programs/Lakeridge. Inside you just look for the folders call "Themes". In this folder you place your skin's folder with the skin files in it.

Guys, how to view animated gif in Dopod. i tried download gif files but when i opened the file it just a still image. any idea?

Yes, i already used Resco Photo Viewer. I can see the animated gif in my notebook, but when i transfered to my Dopod, it just a still image. Any idea?

After installing the ROM, it runs like Pentium 4..LoL

Actually, its much more stable and all..shdn't pose any significant problem like cant install s/ware etc etc...

i just upgraded my ROM, had problems connecting to msn and the internet via GPRS and my home wi-fi until followed instructions below posted at MPC.

1. Connections
2. Manage exixting connections
3. click on "Proxy Settings" tab
4. Uncheck the 2nd tick "This network uses proxy server to connect to the internet" to disable the proxy server.
5. Click "OK" to exit to Connections.
6. Make sure "Maxis Internet Settings" is selected in both top and bottom boxes.


after the ROM upgrade i noted that start up is faster i.e. input password and Sim card pin much much faster response

not pentium 4 lah.. maybe its windows vista!! new ROM reli stable la.. love it much more than JAMin and the test ROM b4 this.. hell ya!! dopodist.. enjoyed!

updated my ROM today and don't have backup software. So got to go look for some utilities. Following freewares all work fine with my dopod 818pro.

1. Calendar+
2. Magic Button
3. xbar
4. cLaunch

Luckily most of my games saved in my SD card earlier.

Noted that the new ROM also improved the speed wi-fi is connected to my home wi-fi.

After testing n testing..
found tht wasnt the new ROM tht causing the problem.

it's was CE Star v2.8R1 tht crash the system.
gonna just try the old version v2.8 later.
hope it's doing fine lo....

Anyone knows how to connect a laptop to the Dopod 818pro to use the GPRS connection? I'd like to surf the internet with my laptop using Maxis GPRS connection....
